Hull are clearly the weakest side we have played in this run. We have gifted them their lead with absolutely atrocious defending yet again.

Teams are targeting our right hand side, far to easy. Can't believe he started Gomez in front of Robertson, just don't get it.

Halliday is having a mare

i know there are quite a number on here that rate him and clearly the manager does but I just can’t see it. He’s bobbins. Always has been.

Tom Anderson rated him in his commentary the other night.
good for him. I’m sure they know better than me. But he’s getting torn to shreds! Again. And don’t get me started on his passing. Opinions eh?

Robertson for Gomes would be my change.
Also copps for Taylor who has been anonymous

We seem to be missing Ben’s defensive game more than his attacking- we have no protection in central midfield and that must be one of the reasons the defence seems to be imploding

That last free kick sums up our defending, not good enough by a long way

I think Gomes has been one of the better players? he is picking all the passes. I would swap Taylor for lokilo though

He's made a couple of more complicated passes but he has given away too many easy balls.

Hull seem to stroll through midfield with no real challenge, defence is a full team responsibility, the players need to start standing up to be counted.

I don't rate Halliday at all but he is getting no help at all from Taylor.

Halliday has had zero support from Taylor these past two Saturdays. You can't expect the lad to be a key attacker then defend without backup.

Just for the record, I rate Haliday, but not today...he looks like he is dazed with it all, but the same could be said for all the defence - the tactic was clear from very early, they can see we are very poor from crosses. This could be a big score against us. Strangely Hull are not that good, I've not seen a decent side since Lincoln - the fact these teams have beat us, just shows how exceptionally poor we are currently.

Gomes has been the best passer in that half, he was making through the lines passes.

Actually thought some of our play has been better today, but the defending has been woeful. Taylor and Gomes have been anonymous in the first half

Sack him! f**k this shit. A former center back who can’t set his team up to defend crosses in the box. It’s an absolute shambles

Look at the goals scored Halliday and Wright should have got the ball away for the first. The right side of defence is not good. Second goal James on Wilks, he scores if that had been John he would have crucified on here.
Third goal another header. Then right at the end ball in from the right over James and Potter nearly scores.

Good goal from James centre midfield.

The right side of the defence needs looking at I hope they will.

This has a feeling of lack of confidence follwing a few losses, plus a little of fearing the might of Hull.

Needs that oomph in defence to give that confidence which is down to DM kicking arse.

For this matchfrom here it's about the battle of tactics between the managers.

DM is a good manager, it takes someone with a special sort of FM brain to come out with that sort of rubbish.

Bostock for Gomes?

Yes please. He's the best defensive midfielder we currently have. Smith is great at picking a pass but he isn't that guy to do the dirty work and make the interceptions. Get Gomes off.

JT had one of the clearest chances of the half and somehow he seemed to fall over and loop it up into the keepers arms all at the same time- he really can look comical at times

I forget which defensive horror show it was that Anderson had to sort out but he was going f**king mental at one point. Him aside, this is about as timid a defensive group as I can remember us playing. Anderson must look at the rest of the back line and think what am I doing here. Ball comes in, attack it!

Halliday has had zero help from Taylor, who's been atrocious first half.

Taylor has been a massive problem, he has contributed nothing going forward or defensively.
Bottles challanges, and simply makes no effort in stopping crosses.
Should be nowhere near the starting 11.

The success leading up to the Fleetwood match had been built on strong defending marshalled by Butler and Anderson. Since that partnership was broken up the defending has been shambolic.
