As usual, the away commentary team have everything up and working before the match starts, Rovers struggling again, just switched on.

Rowe scores again, should we be playing him upfront?

False number 9, 10 in the pocket, midfield dynamo, left-back, rush keeper.

Would that lead to him being marked as a striker then?

I suppose it would. I wasn't being very serious when I made the suggestion... Still, he does seem to have an eye for goal.

I wasn't taking it that seriously, but was interested in the thought process. I often wonder how a team would cope if the team they were playing played a completely unknown formation. Probably for just the first half and then change back to a more conventional formation for the second half, once the manager has worked out a plan

Whoever was marking at the back post there got out-fought. I think there's something in this still though. We need to keep the high press.

Maybe play something completely unexpected close to the end?

When a goalie comes forward for a corner kick at the end of a cup game, it often causes havock. Perhaps there's something in it?

Like when David James was sent to play at the front and they subbed on another keeper.

Anyway, come on Rovers, we're seeing glimmers

Come out fighting after half time, they need a reminder from RW of what they can do. Reproduce the first 15-20 minutes and it isn't inconceivable that we win this one. Fingers crossed.

Yep. Great start and held them down very well. After about 20 mins they’d managed to work out how to fight back and it got sketchy for a bit. Now we’re pressing again and it’s more 50/50. They seem to break very quickly though and we struggle to get back a bit.

That last corner to them was a joke. Their player kicked it against the side netting and out. Can’t understand why the lino didn’t put the ref right.

If we can stop the sloppiness creeping in and get better service to Dodoo in the second half this looks good.

Yes, they are known for passing it around apparently. Most of the time, it doesn't really lead anywhere, their best chances have come from set plays. We've had the best chances but are not in control of the ball.

For some reason, we're knocking it long very often. Probably for the pace of Dodoo and Hiwula, I understand that, but once too often IMO.
