Not sure you wearing a sticker with your Johnson out is strictly legal, Wilts.

How long before it's four jabs a year then five and six ?

I've got my eyes wide open , benefit given at the moment .

So, would you rather die than have the jabs, Tyke?

Why would he die bb? He might not be able to taste his hedgehogs for a couple days that's all.
I honestly don't understand your train of thought that death is imminent.

I'm not suggesting that death is imminent to Tyke, he might well live long and prosper without any jabs. It seems to me, though, that his objection to having extra jabs is more based on conspiracy theory than a matter of responsibility to himself and others.

He doesn't have a responsibility to others. Certainly i don't expect him to wear a mask and have jabs on my account. I'm not that selfish.  ;)

Meanwhile on planet earth. The likelihood of death from flu is greater than the likelihood of death from Covid for the under 60's .

With respect though BB, if it is though then that is his business. He doesn't need to be told, coerced, bribed, blackmailed or even forced to have a jab if he doesn't want one. For whatever reason that is personal to him.

Not everyone who doubts the safety of the vaccine or believes that something else is at play is a conspiracy theorist. In fact it is rational and healthy to have scepticism.

Obviously there are extremes of belief such as those who believe we are being controlled by lizards and on the flipside, those who totally trust what they are told just because they have been told by scientists and would happily have a jab every day if they were told to.

Scientists, doctors etc are human too and thus also have the capacity to be manipulated by greed, ego and power.

CDH, when people share their opinion with others they relinquish what was their own personal business and offer it up for scrutiny.

Yes i suppose BB. I still think people can have an opinion though without having to justify their opinion. It does help and does help strengthen their argument of course.

CDH - the freedom of allowing you to have an opinion in no ways negates the option of other people having an opinion about it. if you don't like it, don't view your opinion in public.

That's the thing about freedom of speech. It also includes the freedom to explain to someone why their freely expressed opinion is ba-baa.

Yep. Fair enough. I think i was just a bit confused by the fact that BB suggested that it was because of conspiracy theories as to why Tyke didn't want extra jabs and that someone who has conspiracy theories isn't entitled to be taken seriously, but my view is, what is so wrong with that? They are his conspiracy theories that he has a right to them.

Take your point though. Whatever view you put out in public is there to be shot at i guess.

It looked to me like it was Tyke who suggested that it was because of conspiracy theories as to why he didn't want extra jabs.

Where did I say that someone who has conspiracy theories isn't entitled to be taken seriously?

JCVI currently debating whether or not to recommend giving jabs to the over 5's.

Given they decided that giving the jabs to the over 12's was of no clinical health benefit and thus did not recommend it, what even is the point in debating about the over 5's? Madness.

The Government will override any decision the JCVI make anyway so all futile really.

My grandad has lung cancer so if we go into lock down again then he won't have his treatment and. I am having my jab on Wednesday I suggest if people want to keep their freedoms to get the jab or simply lose them. And in my case probably lose a close dear relative.

Sorry to hear that RTID however, the restrictions will continue despite vaccinations IMO. They are now political decisions. One of them being the capacity and the functioning of the NHS being at rock bottom before Covid. IMO it is the NHS mismanagement and the Government cuts that should be blamed. Not people who aren't getting their vaccines.

However, such a difficult position for you to be in and i hope your grandad can get his treatment.

Thank you very much CDH, I apologise it probably came across as a bit of a rant however I actually didn't think we would go into lock down until the murmurings since this new variant came around.

I think I once read something about the dilemma of the NHS either being over staffed during normal operational times or having enough staff during the Winter. From what I can understand is the option they choose to just have about enough staff during the winter means they run short.

And I don't know how many NHS staff are still off with long term sickness either i.e. stress

In terms of my Grandad everything is moving so slowly diagnosis was made nearly 9 weeks ago but still no treatment.

No problem CDH - as long as we all do it in a civil manner, everyone's opinion is fine & welcolmed. It keeps the chat going indeed.

I'm booked in next Sunday for my booster BB and I've complied right from the very beginning of this virus .

I'm no conspiracy theorist just someone who is concerned about regulations and restrictions under this government .

I've also an eye on those making an enormous amount of money out of this virus , I'm sure many of whom would be glad to see it continue .
