The Daily Mail are suggesting it might be Dominic Cummings behind the party leaks.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10287463/Dominic-Cummings-says-regime-change-coming-leak-No-10-party-video.html

I love the aside at the end of that story, that describes how Cummings went ballistic when Dilyn the dog bolted towards him and started trying to shag his leg. Priceless.

Bojo apologising unreservedly for the impression it gives.
He insists there was no party and no covid rules broken as far as he has been made aware.
Cabinet secretary to investigate.
Disciplinary action to follow for any breaches found.

Wow. Now citing the queen sitting on her own at her husbands funeral.
This is cutting deep. And rightly so.

Bojo needs to step aside I think.
Credibility completely shattered.
Step up Rishi.

The non-apology apology.

Apologising for the IMPRESSION that yesterday's video gave. Not apologising for being a bunch of entitled Kitsons who thought the rules that the rest of us followed didn't apply to them.

Ian blackFord is an odious, obnoxious excuse of a man.
Never has a good word to say in Parliament .

Apparently so, at Johnson's private flat in No10. Really slack by Starmer not to question Johnson on that. Get him on record in Parliament, denying it.

Interesting comments about diplomatic boycotting of Chinese Winter Olympics.
Bojo states “it’s not sensible “

I’ve not heard any talk of diplomatic boycotting of the World Cup.

Here's a thing.

If there wasn't an Xmas party, why should Johnson be "furious" about that video? Why should he apologise about "the impression it gave"?

If there wasn't a party, that video is meaningless.

The video only matters if there WAS a party at which they all knew they were breaking the rules.

Trouble with lying is, you'd better be damned f**king good at it to do it without digging a bigger hole. Johnson isn't clever or skillful enough to cover himself.

What he's relying on is that enough people don't give a f**k about him lying to them.

In claiming he's been mislead, I think he's got away with it BST,

Unless there is some new revelation from a member of his staff, whom he's just thrown under the bus.

His only way to recover even a glimmer of this situation, is to quickly identify those responsible and get them dealt with. Publicly.
He has agreed to hand over any findings to the Met police.
So if there were breaches, then there should be some very public prosecutions.

The Conservative Party must realise they have no chance of being re-elected if he stays at the helm.

Heres the thing. If there are to be some very public outings of those at the party, if there was one, then Bojo will be creating a few more “Dominic Cummings” .if those closest to him at no 10 are held to account for their indiscretions, then he better watch out, as you only need one or two of them to turn toxic against him.
This could get very messy.

Classic Johnson; only apologises for 'the impression', doesn't say who gave him the assurance that there was no party - Dilyn the dog? - then says his lackey, Simon Case, will 'establish the facts'. What he'll then do with 'the facts' only he knows.

Not a hint of responsibility, accountability or principle.

But, hey, it's all priced in...

So will this investigation be like the one where the ethics standards commissioner investigated Patel?

The one where he found her guilty of having a culture of bullying staff, to the extent that one colleague attempted suicide?

The one where, after the report was submitted, Johnson said he didn't believe Patel was a bully and that she had his full support?

The one where the commissioner then resigned his post in protest?

And no-one gave a f**k...

Heh,

Perhaps not out of the mire yet?

No 10 declines to say whether Simon Case, cabinet sec tasked by PM with investigating claims of Christmas Party, was actually at the party.
