Just consider what last night's announci means.

They know there is a massive wave coming. They know that if the booster programme doesn't keep up with the increase in cases, we run the risk of hospitalisations and death spiralling out of control.

The sensible solution would be to increase social distancing measures and buy more time for the booster programme. But we are chucking all the eggs into the boosters.

We MIGHT manage 1 million per day until New Year. If we do, the gamble might pay off. But it IS a gamble. And we are refusing to consider the obvious safety net.

It's beginny to feel a lot like Xmas. Xmas 2020.

Methinks people who look for things that aren't really there and convince themselves that they are should take another look and pull themselves together.

I don't know why you argue with them Syd, not when they support people, (I use that word very loosely), like this....

I genuinely believe that Johnson and his ilk could walk up and kick them in the balls and they'd thank him/them for doing it!

No pre Xmas parties this year for Three members of Labour's shadow cabinet as they  have today tested positive for Covid.

Shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves, shadow education secretary Bridget Phillipson and shadow environment secretary Jim McMahon

''Shaun Bailey: Ex London mayor candidate quits over Christmas party''

''Last week it emerged that four members of Mr Bailey's campaign team had been disciplined over the "raucous" party in the basement of the Conservatives' Westminster base''

tories like a bit of discipline in the basement
