I’ve known many bands in my life and I can honestly say Coldplay are one of them.
It wasn't a cover of Computer Love though RD. They just copied the main hook line note for note.

Laibach's underlying theme is the link between innocent pop music and fascism. They have a string of cover versions where they have turned pop songs into terrifying Wagnerian fascist anthems. Geburt Einer Nation is both hilarious and blood chilling. A cover of Queen's One Vision, sung in German in a bass baritone voice by a singer dressed in militaristic outfits. Puts "One flesh, one bone, one true religion" sung like that is horrifying.Their cover of Get Back by the Beatles sung like that puts a whole different take on "Get back to where you once belonged".They aren't fascists. They make people reflect on how those attitudes can be unconsciously fostered. Coming from the ex Yugoslavia where right wing populists whipped up people into a civil war makes it very poignant. But if that's too much like hard work, their cover of Rammstein's Ohne Dich is one of the most beautiful works of chilling art in music. The original is OK but it's a bog standard melancholy male rock love song. "Without you the birds don't sing, the seconds feel like hours ". In Laibach's version, the lead singer is Mina Spiler who has the most achingly gorgeous female soprano voice. It's elegant and fragile. Then the male singet comes in with his terrifying bass voice. As she sings "Ohne Dich" (without you), he sings over it in a whispered growl "Ohne Mich" (without me). f**king genius.
