If we had some hard nosed coppers patrolling on foot "Come here son what's that down your trousers? a knife or maybe you just glad to see me?. now come with me for a minute for a stop and search!"That's what used to happen before the 'WOKES got their lily livered way!
Pc Patterson is what is needed who always at away games at rovers ,it only took him to look at you to think ok I will do as my told
I know. Back in the 90's i knew our village bobbys in Scawsby by name, and they knew me. One even rode a cycle around and lived on our street. Even though a lot of us were scallies, we still had respect for the local plods. These days i have no respect for the police whatsoever.

There are parts of Donny that i wouldn't live in if i was given a free house. Hexthorpe, Balby, Hyde Park, Highfields being 4 that would be immediately dismissed as a risk to life IMO.

Sadly I think based on the (supposedly) gang related crimes in the last 12-18 months you can add a couple of other places to that (notable Cantley). But then I think this is another case of people ignoring the size of Doncaster and dismissing it as another small northern town when it's anything but. I live in Stainforth, a village in peoples eyes yet home to over 6k people and a closed police station. Whilst Facebook isn't always a credible source for news our DN7 facebook group has regular reports of arson, burglary and assault. I'm sure there's a huge debate about respect, parental responsibilities and society in general but I think there's issues caused by lack of police on the beat.

Broke in despite the house doors being locked & lifted the keys.
They might need a baseball bat by the bed too if the burglars came upstairs.
