Strangely I had 5 yellows in just one word the other day.

Weird day. Had Tablet problems but managed a 4 at 06.30 ....

10 am I had fluked getting Tablet "fixed" and looked if Wordle App had returned to normal and it had but it was showing I hadnt done todays lol

However I couldnt remember the word and ;

Panic set in - was I going to get a word wrong I got right 3 hours earler ?

Luckily there was a vowel left and looking at the letters left there looked to be only 2 possibles and bingo I made it in 4 again !

So I’m guessing we’ve only got a few days to go now.
We shall have to find something else as non controversial as Wordle, to focus our little coterie’s morning chats on.
What about religion or politics?

Never do .... It's not worth looking with all that fellowship and bon homie going on

I reckon that link is ominous though ... maybe sounds death knell for Wordle but there is Heardle and Quordle to go at

Or Mirror Quizword. Years ago I used to complete maybe 2 out of 10 but now it seems to be Films ( always amazed if I get one right) or Literature which I probably know slightly more about

If it does "go" we can perhaps suggest anything we can find. Sure there must be a Wordle alike out there ?

Worldle looks good .... You get the shape of a Country and put what you think it is

You get  the same Green and Ambers but they show you how right you are in percentage terms


In addition if wrong it tells you how many Kms you are from right Country and there is an arrow showing the direction the correct Country lies

I'll give that a go.

I had got 9 Worldles wrong . My geography has to improve. I have been in right area but you have no scale to work to so Hong Kong looked enormous

I was on Feb 8 the and decided to go to my birthday and supposed " lucky " number 17

Bingo Up came New Zealand 1 for 10 ... On a roll now

Today just gets better.
After my abject failure in Wordle, I went downstairs to make my wife poached eggs on toast and a secondary brew.
I opened the back door to let the cat in and proceeded to make aforementioned breakfast.
A few mins later I turn to get the butter out the fridge and, barefooted, squelch into the corpse of a partly disembowelled sparrow.
Cat keeping guard on it from under the table, just in case it reanimates.
I apologise to the neighbours for my language.
