I got it on the third go today. Eliminating vowels is the key

Just found this recently and am 8 for 8 - only 1 took me all attempts

Do you know if I can play the previous puzzles anywhere please

Will give todays a go but probably "jinxed myself"  now

4th row - but your clue helped !

Also on Twitter someone said " how apt todays answer is" but when wondering what to enter in Row 3 I got last 4 letters right then kicked myself for not listening to " how apt todays answer is"

It should be possible to display your chart but no.

Got it on the third attempt today. A lucky guess with the second word gave me most letters.

I usually start with 'audio'. It gets most of the vowels in there straight away.

5th go today but it took me a good 15 mins from incorrect 4th guess to getting it.
Why is there only 1 a day? I can’t wait till midnight for the next one!

4th go today to get it. A bit of an unusual word. I was stuck after guess three for a good fifteen mins too.

I don't know why it's only one a day but it has become my morning coffee ritual.

In a Reddit post, Wardle (Josh Wardle invented Wordle) said he wanted Wordle to feel like a croissant, a "delightful snack" that is enjoyed occasionally. This is explicitly why there's only one puzzle per day. "Enjoyed too often," he explained, "and they lose their charm".

It's a bit like what's happened with too much footy on TV, it's no longer stimulation, it's saturation.

It’s excess access (I have Billy to thank for introducing me to that phrase).

The world is suffering from excess access.

I am 12 for 12 since finding this and got to bottom (last chance) with the first 3 green

I spend 5 minutes looking at the combinations for the last two letters before thinking it surely can only be - - (no spoilers) .... and luckily it was

I found this the other day as people on Twitter were ranting that they had used FAVOR ...so be aware Wordlers there could be other US words

You’ve mystified me there. Without giving anything away it’s a very English word today.

It may be a very English word but if you were to ask someone to use it in a sentence, most people would use it in connection to a conspiracy theory involving an infamous incident in American history

One thing puzzles me. Wordle seems to be extremely similar to the old boardgame 'Mastermind'. I'm surprised he's not had a knock on the door from Hasbro's lawyers.

Just looked it up, it is an old English word derived from Norse origins.

One of those words that has become less well used in the UK over time but carried on being used more commonly in the US probably.

Yes not what anyone in UK would say .... slipping out of use same as glade and fell etc

When I posted about favor earlier it didn't tumble to me  that this too is now a US word too

Wonder if they still use it for anything other than the "grassy ____" . Still not spoiling it just in case someone is still to go it
