I had the last three letters and tried four different combinations of letters Infront.

All wrong guesses.

Similar but managed on the 5th. Once I had the last three it was guess work.

Same here. Had last 3 letters on 2nd attempt. Took me to 5th attempt to get correct combo!

However, I mistakenly told my wife about it and she’s now doing it, so I’m under increased pressure to beat her, to prove once and for all, men are superior to women!
(Ps She got it in 6 today, but it was her first go)

People share their days puzzle without the letters showing - and loads of others tweet ffs eff off with the Wordle shit

I tried to share one on here but failed #38 above. I wont post them on Twitter until STARE comes up

I imagined the game would attract the occasional headcase, and even the odd nutcase, but never a bloody starecase.

6. Could have been 4 with a bit of luck but it took me 3 goes to get the first letter right.
