Fascinating how a thread about a (literal) balls up by a current Govt Minister gets hijacked by the "Diane Abbott Hur-hur-hur" obsessives. Time after time.

Did they ask her about it dd, that's usually the normal thing to do?

and remember the first call was that she was wearing 2 left or right shoes until it was pointed out that would have been mighty uncomfortable, then the story changed ....... and on it goes

Do yourself a favour fella and have a day off, you'll become a danger to yourself and small pets again.

Don’t worry bst, you will get your chance to bring Dorries stories up again in the future, which you will no doubt do with great glee.

BST, would you be happy for an incoming Labour government to hand Ms Abbott a cabinet role?

I think she would be a very poor quality minister in that hypothetical world. I think Nadine Dorries is a much worse one in this real world. Reason. Whatever you think if Abbott's politics (and I'm not a massive supporter) she's generally (albeit with one famous exception) in control of the facts around the issues she's discussing. You may not agree with her conclusions (I often don't) but at least she's debating from a fact based foundation.

Dorries, by contrast, is a car crash on the facts. Off the top of my head, she, as Culture, Media and Sport secretary has made incorrect prouncements on the ownership of C5, on the funding of C4, on a survey her own department ran on TV company ownership and now on how the English Rugby League won the Rugby Union World Cup.

Any minister can make a mistake. It's inevitable. But when you make them as frequently as Dorries does, it implies that you either cannot understand or have contempt for basic facts.

What do you reckon?

The lack of wit is intentional. It's wasted on you. Even though you spend most of your life on this forum on your soapbox it goes over your head.

do people really need to dig up old stories

well i've just found a new variation on an old theme

https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1205990/jeremy-corbyn-news-labour-party-diane-abbott-love-affair-general-election-2019-spt

i knew he deliberately got friends to come around to his flat when he knew the " said lady (?)" was literally in it  so he could impress them with his "latest notch"     About About   .... so the "big issue"  is did she make another mistake or was it "in the line of duty" to advance up the career ladder ?

Yes i can go along with that, MS Abbott has been shut down by Starmer and his center right pals so you don't get to hear or see too much of her. probably to Labours credit.

No wonder this country is in the shit. The level of intelligence of the right wing in this country is clearly on display on this thread. Christ Almighty.  No argument,, no fact, no history, no prognosis. Just character asassination and juvenile posts that even children would be ashamed of, Yes BB. That's you. If that's the level of debate  in the right wing, this country really is f**ked. But then, it has been ever thus - through decade after decade after decade.

Bob, if posters can't have a bit of a laugh and joke in a thread like this then that says more about you than them, remember your pal started the thread having a laugh at an incompetent Minister.

Lets hope you don't blow a gasket and show your true colours again ranting about people being too thick to be allowed to vote and should be disenfranchised, i noticed none of your pals wanted to stand behind that little purler!

Talking shit again BG in support of your leader. A leader who thinks probably the most racist politician in the house has only made one gaffe. A leader who refuses to accept ANY links put up that are contrary to his agenda. A leader who thinks he decides the rules of the forum and anyone who doesn't conform is childish.

That's why I, for one, can't be arsed with him, or anyone who goes along with his bullshit.

You’ve all forgotten this Dorries gem, when she threatened to ‘nail a journalist’s balls to the floor, using his front teeth’, for having the nerve to query how her daughter could be her tax payer funded secretary, when she lived so far away.

This has all gone quiet.
Below is an extract from The Guardian so I am surprised that ****** hasn’t highlighted it for us:

“A female Welsh MP has accused a member of the shadow cabinet of lewd sexism by stating she would be successful because men wanted to sleep with her, as the attorney general accused some male MPs of acting “like animals”.

After the latest allegation of misogyny to hit Westminster, Labour promised to launch an investigation if a complaint was made. But the MP told BBC Wales that identifying herself and making a complaint was not in her best interests.

She alleged an unnamed member of Labour’s frontbench described her as a “secret weapon” because, he said, women wanted to be her friend and men wanted to sleep with her.”

Never mind numbers, How many times have you left the house wearing odd shoes. And they are both for your left foot?

I thought you were talking about many of our players last season turning out in two left boots?

So you don't think we should be laughing at MPs on both sides of the house who say stupid things?

What should we do; take them seriously?

Bobby G is an intellectual snob. Of the very worst kind. One who chooses to have discussion with folk he deems to be less intellectual than him. That way he can call them village idiots and such like. Like, let’s say, folk on a spin off from a 4th division football forum.

I say the worst kind of intellectual snob because he’s not actually nearly as intelligent as he likes people to think he is.

In fact, he’s quite thick.

''Police call to Boris Johnson’s home after reports of domestic incident
tory leadership contender’s partner heard telling him to ‘get off’ her during disturbance''

So i post a story that's current(on the day) and you felt the need to regurgitate a story from 3 years ago that was hearsay from an unreliable source that resulted in the square root of diddly squat to try to substantiate the point that Ms Abbott was making.!

How weak and feeble was that!!
