Even republicans?

Of course, those with no depth in either soul or brain can abstain.

Then they would be easy targets for those with equally intolerant mindsets, such as BB who displays that spectacular level of intolerance above in a few simple words.

Get the game on and those who wish to grieve for someone they've never met can do so at home whilst those of us who want to go and watch footy can also do so. That is equality is it not?
And what about players, officials, ground staff etc who would rather not attend as a mark of respect?

I'm sure NHS nurses would want a day off from their PAID employment as a mark of respect or binmen also wanting a day off to mark their respects but unfortunately we live in a world which has to carry on despite an important national figure head passing. Ludicrous statement. Maybe everyone should not do what they are paid to do because of the Queens death. Oh we can't have that. We can have sports and things stopping though as they get preferential treatment in this illusion of an equal society that we live in.

Test is being resumed tomorrow and rugby union and league are back on tomorrow. St Leger shifted to Sunday. No football on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Very odd decision.

The emergency services cannot be given a day off as a mark of respect for obvious reasons. Other occupations, such as footballers can.

Whether postponing Football League games this Saturday is the right thing to do is a matter of opinion, but that opinion shouldn't be based simply on one's lack of respect for the Queen, like yours is.
