With the total MSM blackout of anything other than the Queen, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the rest of the world doesn't exist anymore. I (reluctantly) pay my TV licence fee for ALL news, not just saturation news on the Queen's death. Disgraceful. Also, even on Talksport and Talkradio they have been banging on about the Queen relentlessly since last Thursday. God help us when Charles dies. I might have to bite the bullet and get netflix then. Mass hysteria taking hold again i see.
Mourners have been told by park officials not to leave Paddington Bear teddies, balloons or other 'unsuitable' items as tributes to the Queen.Officials from Royal Parks charity said 'in the interests of sustainability, we ask visitors to only lay organic or compostable material'. Can they not lay of the environmental b*llocks just for a few days??! Totally insensitive IMO. There might be some young kid who has spent their pocket money on a Paddington teddy to lay down there and you get some jobsworth arseholes coming out with this nonsense. Get a grip Royal Parks and show some gratitude.
GP's allowed to close on day of the funeral. Not hospitals though. That's fair.......... Meanwhile, people are already queuing outside Westminster Hall, 48 hours early for the Queen. I wouldn't go that far for my own mum! Madness.
I'm just wondering if the Clarkson family still has the rights to the Paddington Bear soft toys? I looked at one in the shop at Paddington station a few years ago it had a label saying made in China but it also said Rainbow Designs. I think that was the name of the business at the top of Adwick school fields next to the North Rd.If it is still them, they will be coining it in now.

Center Parcs have told holidaymakers that they are closing for the Queens funeral and that holidaymakers have to arrive on the Tuesday! Reports also that people staying there already need to leave. Absolutely mental. The CEO of that company needs sacking as of right now.

I'd love it if VSC shut this forum all day on Monday just to annoy you.
Just wondering Panda, fully aware of your circumstances but where did you vent during your hiatus on the forum or did you not feel the need?. You do seem to getting more reactionary than you were a few weeks back and crossed my mind this might be connected? Could be wrong like and you just being opposite

On the Queen. It would have been good for a lot of people if the Royal Train had taken the Queen's coffin by rail from Edinburgh to London. Can you imagine the sheer number of people being able to stand by a rail track and be given the opportunity to see that? Many people do not have the means, time, money to spend in London.
From Harpers Newsletter. Poor old corgis, what did they do to deserve that:https://twitter.com/Lanre_Bakare/status/1569675763405783041
More mass over reaction. This time from my kids scout leader who emailed me to say that at Scouts this week they will be 'running a quiet programme indoors due to the period of mourning for the Queen'.Jesus wept. They're kids. They're at Scouts. They want to have fun!
I would suggest it is a bit outdated and that many agreeing to it do not really understand it's meaning nor care and or agree because that's what is required to join the group, at age 12.''I will do my duty as a Scout, to my God, my King, and my Country. I will be loyal to the B.B.S., and will keep its laws. On my honour I will Love God; Honour the Queen; Respect all. On my honour I will, without fear or reward, protect the weak, defend the helpless, and assist my neighbour''
