I will be amazed if he’s still here start of next season

You know what mate, I don’t think I would be surprised.
They will give him the summer to bring players in, then after October when we have had another bad set of results they will get rid.
That will mean we will only be paying DS’s contract plus one for the new manager instead of paying two sacked managers wages plus a new one if he were to be sacked straight away.
You just know that this will be a consideration.

He’s got the injury excuse now. So he’s got a good chance of making it till the summer unfortunately.

DB ought to stump up out of his own pocket for all the cock-eyed decisions he’s made (with managers).

Its a no from me.
Poor results,
loads of injuries,
confidence rock bottom,
nothing to play for no relegation or promotion.
Relax, you make the final decision at the end of the season that's the right time.
I am still a supporter and will always remain a supporter.
Alick
Keep him and he will totally destroy these players. He has almost done that already.
There is no benefit in keeping him till the end of the season. That can only be a negative on the players.
A smile on their faces is needed, confidence returned, the shackles off.
Get rid now and Gribble also.
Let Greeny look after the team for last 7 games.

Start an immediate search for new manager.  Must be pro active on this. We need someone in place before middle of May. Recruitment needs to start after the Walsall game so this really important that an experienced Manager ( not Coach ) is in place ASAP

Northampton have an injury crisis and they are 2nd in the league.

Every club has injuries. If that’s his get out clause for not getting sacked it’s shows the total ineptitude of our Chairman to understand anything regarding the dire football we have had to endure and the feeling of almost our entire supporter base.
Blunt has made some desperately bad calls in the last 2 yrs but to keep DS as our Head Coach would surpass all those previous blunders 10 fold.
He really can’t be that stupid can he?

Although not screaming and shouting for his head the single fact that he started with Todd Miller has done it for me (no disrespect to TM but we have our own players who should have started before a young lightweight loanee)

This is a bit like the managers tactics. You keep asking the same question and getting the same result . :headbang:

It was done to guage if many have changed their mind from the last one

I would have put a tongue in cheek emoji if there was one. ;)

Understood, I can’t even get emojis to work

No basis in science at all, but currently he appears to have lost almost half of people who said no previously. If we lose say the next two, and the swing continues, the ‘no’ people could easily be down to single figures, % wise.

Certainly more decisive than the Brexit vote…

Sorry!

Preview it before you post it and the emojis will be there Filo.
That’s how I do it. Don’t know if there is an easier way.

I don't think they will sack him in the short term. But they would do well to remember why Mcsheffrey was sacked.

I feel you're a map screen away from election night!

"And here we can see the road of Donny wards turning to 'No' really quite decisively! All the way to the Eco Power office door where the virtual P45 is waiting for the magic 99% figure to be reached..."

Just my opinion - I can't see him being sacked, definitely not now, and probably not during the remainder of the season. I think he will still be in charge when next season kicks off. Not saying that's what I think is best, but I think that's what'll happen.

I think the club (and probably mostly Copps) will consider it a knee-jerk response to consider sacking him now. Although our form was patchy before this awful run, and performances haven't been good for a while, I think they'll see it as a run of 1 win in 9 after a period where we were actually winning some games and in touch with the top 7. Managers and head coaches survive runs much worse than that.

Copps was here when SOD didn't win for ages, and he survived the best part of 30 games, and I'm sure he'll be of the mind that things would've been better if SOD had just been left in place to sort it out.

Whether the board would overrule him and whether they are even considering a change, I don't know. I just get the feeling that they will let this "process" take its course for a little while longer at least.

There is a strong possibility that we loose all the games left this season and may not score another goal , surely with this outcome he can’t keep his job .

It's a no from me, despite having witnessed that shambles of a first half on Saturday.
I would add that I have always been someone who backs managers to turn things round (and with no real evidence to support him, I am doing again)
He needs all his own players available and longer in the job before I can really assess him, otherwise we're on another cycle of giving someone else  a window or two to get in their own players, staff, a year to embed processes etc.
That said, if he's gone this week I wouldn't be surprised or dismayed

I am pleased that Paul Goodwin has tackled him on this as I had hoped in an earlier post. It is the most direct and explicit criticism Schofield has faced and he does respond using the word “flexible”. We can only hope he will at least think about what that means for him and his process.

I honestly can't believe we have heard nothing from anyone at the club, not even a vote of confidence.

He mentions the need to be adaptable but he either doesn’t know what it means or he’s having a laugh, because he quite simply isn’t. In fact he’s the very opposite.

I would like all the 28 people who voted NO to explain why?
