All three goals were crossed into the box and we were an absolute shambles.
Just watched Grants post match interview, I can’t make my mind up if he is seething, or just realising the task he has got himself into.

1st goal. Not a free kick. But Westbrooke has to be making more effort in getting out quicker to Bostock to stop the cross coming in.2nd goal. Headed in from 4 yards out with keeper stuck on his line. Lawlor must be coming out to claim the cross.3rd goal. Rowe caught upfield. No. 7 allowed to run and run. Broadbent not quick enough to get across to close him down. Whole team backs off and backs off - Mr Wood? No way Rob Jones would allow a team to do that. Then a ridiculous Superman flap from the Keeper overcompensating for his earlier error for goal 2? Shambles all roundNotts County's first 3 efforts on goal. Not a particularly attacking looking team. Easy peasy for them I'm afraid.
Christ almighty I've just watched that first goal again. We truly look two divisions off the required standard. We are set up with 7 defenders deep in the box. When Bostock plays that free kick back, every one of our players forgot about him and fixed their attention on the ball. They had players moving in every direction giving their lad options because not one of our players took up positions to deny them the options.Giving a player with the ball playing ability of Bostock 15 yards to measure his cross when they rolled the simple ball back to him is bad enough. But then when the cross comes in, our 7 deep defenders are static and watching their lad ease through the middle of them. That's frighteningly bad on so many levels. We were badly unbalanced in the way we set up to defend the action. Even if our players outside the box had the intelligence and physicality to cut off the Bostock option (and its scarily clear we have neither intelligence nor physicality in our team) they had two players in acres of space to their right because we were totally overmatched. Abd then the lack of anyone taking the responsibility to get tight to the lad in the box is just the icing on the cake.I've no idea where we go from here. We're set up badly and we look like a team of kids looking round for a grown up to take responsibility. I said two weeks ago that we were mo better than last season and got slaughtered for it. Anyone not seeing that now is deluding themselves.

We’re a much better team for me, and in spells we’ve shown it, It’s baffling that people can come to conclusions that the team is no better after one game, absolutely crackers
This pigeon-holing into “positive” vs “negative” really doesn’t help.I have faith in the manager and his judgement and believe it is too early to be jumping to any major conclusions or writing anyone off, but we also clearly have some very legitimate problems as a club and team that need to be spoken about. I certainly hope McCann and his staff aren’t avoiding these issues in the name of “being positive”
