I had an E/W yankee. None of them placed.
Backed 3 horses in the 24 runner chase. One fell the other two pulled up.

Whilst I enjoy watching it, I was told a long time ago by an old gambler, when I questioned why he'd only have one bet a day, sometimes none, whereas I'd be having a couple of 5p Yankees a day, 'Son', he said, 'It's hard enough finding 1 winner a day, never mind 4'.
Only took me 40 years to follow his advice.
(He was the guy who told me to back a 2yo horse for the following years Derby. I didn't and at the start of the next season he asked if I'd backed it. I said no. He said 'Well it's running at Sandown on Saturday. If it wins it'll be favourite for the Derby. So I banged a fiver on it @ 33/1, which was a massive bet for me at the time. (And still is lol).
It duly won and became favourite for the Derby. I had a couple of bets on it at much shorter prices subsequently too.
It was called Shergar and won the Derby by 10 lengths and is still the largest amount of cash I've ever won! (I think I was on £32.50 a week at work).

Very rare I do a yankee or any multiple bet. Usually win only on betfair.
Was dropping some stuff off at a charity shop, there was a betfred next door, so thought why not.
