I agree. Grant seemed to go off him for some reason but from what I’ve seen he’s been a solid player for us. We’ve had some average ones in recent seasons (and that’s being kind). The cliche view is usually he doesn’t offer enough going forward (all teams need a Kyle Walker now apparently) but he’s not had much chance to show us that side of his game. I liked Maxwell straight away when he joined and he’s developed into an outstanding player.I trust Grant though so if we upgrade then fair enough.
He never seemed to want to cross the ball from what I remember of him. Sterry does have a good cross on him from deep. But overall I thought Nixon was better in a poor team. Moly would have been even better with someone regularly overlapping him
What’s that based on Colin please
I'm not so sure on Nixon. Clearly our results were much stronger with Sterry in the side and we conceded a lot from crosses.I don't think he's a bad player but I think there's better options around.

I'd like to think the recruitment team know a lot more about players out there than I do.I can only judge Nixon and whilst I agree he's got improvement in him, signing development players isn't going to get us promoted. He couldn't dislodge Sterry so I'd question if he's good enough for us right now.
