France haven’t scored a goal from open play in 600 minutes, so as I say they should maybe be worrying about how shite they’ve been
Don't really care about which other country in the tournament has or hasn't done. We have played garbage in 4 games. Concensus of opinion by the looks of it tend to agree.

But you care what other countries think about us?
Seems an odd take.
Fact of the matter is France don’t really care how they perform as long as they win, maybe it’s the mentality a lot of you lot should jump on board with.

France didn’t score but they played with more tempo and quick forward movement than England have so far.  So did Portugal.

I’m looking for a step up this afternoon in performance.

As I say I'm commenting on our national team, not France, not Germany, or anyone else. My opinions are on England

No I don't care whatsover what other countries think about us, just saying that they are seeing what we are seeing, no more no less.

Lot of nominally very good sides have been playing dreadful football. The best sides to watch haven't been the larger or more favoured sides.

Why do our media insist on reporting our game plan 3 days before we the game. All it does is give an advantage to the opponent it’s p!as poor. Is that seriously the only story they can come up with?

Glad he's changing it. The change gives me more confidence. I don't agree with Trippier as RWB but sums Southgate up. Trent should be played there and that's coming from a very anti Liverpool person. Walker and Trippier have been awful this tournament.

Short corner and back to the keeper within 10 seconds. You can't blame Southgate for that. The player's are responsible.

Why play trippier on the left of midfield when there's better specialist players for that position?

Walker again, too many touches when one would do, and the moment has passed.

First 20 mins or so, tempo better than before, then reverting to type again.

No attacking outlet on the left again, unless Bellingham has a go there.  Saka and Mainoo looking a threat, and defensively we are ok.

They need to do something about this hesitancy issue. Take a chance FFS.

It’s not far off being a good performance but let’s have some spark second half.??

Much better tempo, forward passes, pressing, & balls in the box.

Complete waste of time playing Trippier as a left wing back.
Why not move Saka to the left and play TAA on the right.

Or you could play Gordon on the left as our wing backs are not having  to do much defending & leave Saka on the right.
We just need more balance to the team. We are so right sided it’s crazy.
Having said that it’s better & we are pressing them high up the pitch.
There is so much more to come from this team. We just need to see it.

A minute or so ago we had 5 players in the final third, all to the right of their penalty area..

If he doesn’t make some changes we will lose this.
We are going nowhere at the moment.
