I’m going to check that with a mate who has had one for a couple of years.
I will report back to you presently.

I also have mate who has one of those thingys and can confirm that they show all of the EFL games. You need to have a fast internet connection and even then the commentary and video can be a little bit behind the one on Iplayer, so I am told, because I don't have one myself as it's illegal.

Mate of mine said that was iPlayer. Whilst we know Sky are going to record 3pm kickoff are we sure they are going to distribute it to countries other than ours that allow 3pm viewing???

Good question. I'm outside the UK. I'll probably sign up but need to make sure it won't be blocked here.

Get a vpn

Shame on you Barry. ..... Big brother Sky ..... and partners EFL will be marking your card .......

I'm a dinosaur. Don't understand all this techy stuff. So what is probably a silly question: if you did happen to maybe use one of these Amazon 4k firesticks in the UK, would you still need a Sky subscription to watch the togger?

BobG
Cheers!

I have an Amazon firestick and a Now TV Sky Sports subscription. Now TV is a platform that shows Sky but you can purchase a rolling contract (or even a single day) and don’t need a Sky box. As far as I’m aware that’s the only way to watch on an Amazon firestick.

There are also illegal sticks available (the dodgibox) where essentially you can watch anything that has a camera on it. If it’s streamed somewhere in the world, it’ll be on there, so everything that was on ifollow last year was and presumably the Saturday 3pm games we have this year will also be on there.
it will be , sky want £100 a month , fire stick £65 a year you decide

What's the lesser of two evils?

do we mean the button on the remote once you are in sky sports on the telly? I'm just on the app looking for a red button?  What if you don't have sky sports?

It's on your Sky handset, Adam. There's red, green, yellow, and blue. The red's on the left hand side.

I’m away this week. Can I watch it via Sky Go on my iPad? Can’t see any option to watch anything other than Preston v Sunderland tomorrow.

Thank you everyone. Looks like I need to either google, or employ my son to get this IPTV thing.

What a chuffing performance.... Thank you Mrs Thatcher. To paraphrase, she knew the value of nothing and that everything should have a cost.

This doesn’t work on my parents sky box (it’s an older hd+box), the red button does nothing on sky sports+, been reading the sky forums and they say it’s due to the red button content being done via the app rather than satellite so will only work on newer boxes

Surely if we are away it’s the light blue button.

Youre correct, even if you are Sky subscriber & have a sports package it only works on the tv if you have sky Q or Sky Glass but works on the Sky Sports + app on your phone if you download it.

Thanks Bessie.

This'll be fun tonight as I was at the match on Saturday so we'll see what happens with my first attempt.

I have sky Q so that's half the battle.

I also have the Rovers+ subscription so going for Sky video and Rovers+ audio

Just go in to sports on sky q and scroll to the game and you're in.  No rewind or pause though unlike ifollow.  I popped it on my phone at the game Saturday, was a 32 second delay.

definitely rewind and pause on my skyQ box? Very laggy on the rewind but paused fine.

If it helps anyone this is how I am getting in to the game tonight. It worked well on Saturday.

enter 501 on the remote. Sky Sports.

press the red button, which is found at the base of the remote control, left side.

It takes an age to engage with the list of games but it is straight forward.

and there was no charge, I have no doubt that will change.

501 is sky news, all the sky sports channels want you to have a subscription, what do we do without one?

You don’t watch the game via sky sports+

Doesn’t seem so. Unlike on the tv where you can use red button on Sky Go on iPad I can’t see any way of navigating away from the main match.

Could it be red button only works when all the other games go "live" so to speak?

Aside from tonight and the port vale game,  are rovers on any more times? The EFL link only shows home teams when you try to filter the teams..,.I'd get a subscription if I could see every away game, but no point for ones here and there...

You need the Sky Sports App, it’s not Sky Go for this, download the Sky Sports App and log in with your Sky details ,
Click watch and the game should appear there later .

The red button on the tv only works if you have Sky Q or Sky Glass

The Rovers OS Rovers+ page informs us that video feed for tonight’s game is “Not available in your region” i.e. the UK. It also states “Please note only audio commentary is available due to television rights deals.”
