Introducing the "Congestion Charge" for all electric vehicles in London from 25th December 2025 now me being cynical and Christmas Day being one of the largest Christian festivals and next year is a sort of random Thursday ....................Makes you think!   :chair:

"Regularly drive an electric vehicle (EV) through central London? Get ready for it to get quite a bit more expensive. From December 25 2025, TfL says EVs will no longer be able to drive through the city for free and will be subject to the same £15-a-day congestion charge currently incurred by other drivers.3 hours ago

The Usa Embassy refuse to pay it and I think they are the biggest debtor. They claim it is a "tax" and won't pay ... but judging by their National debt $31.46 trillion rising steadily they can't afford to pay

A stealth tax will definitely solve "climate change".

It’s all a big con, the Skoda I drive is ULEZ compliant in Sheffield, but because it is a Taxi licensed in another area it is subject to the charge, if it had Sheffield Licence plates on it wouldn’t be charged

One of my mates is the same sadly he advises the customer if they are unwilling he refuses (one man band PH)  Its a total con Years ago when I lived in East London and Ken Livingston introduced it about a year or so after there was an article in the Evening Standard he admitted they had changed the traffic lights in the outer boroughs to slow traffic and make it look as if the congestion charge was working I wish I could dig it up again. However Khan is taking this to a whole new level and the date it is being implemented and announced when a General Election is taking place makes me even more cynical of his carrying on than ever before
