Heads up that Avanti have cancelled all trains north of Preston tomorrow. This will affect anyone who (like me) for was heading to the game up the west coast mainline.
I still fancy chancing the A66, or is that just foolish considering the advice to avoid it?

Looking at the forcast tonight wrong kind of snow and lots of it. Good luck to all you brave souls travelling tomorrow
No trains north of Preston means no trains from Scotland. Thats me F****d.My nearest match. Already had the cancelled trains message from Avanti.
Any talk of a pitch inspection?
It's lashing down with snow here this morningMust be even worse on the A66Doubt that match will be on
The A66 is closed from Scotch corner because of snow, I’m hopeful that it might reopen before 10am.

Been raining since about 4am in Keswick. No snow here. All about volume of rain, and whether the pitch can cope, or surrounding areas flooding.
I’m sacking it off. I have a high sided vehicle. If the A66 is shut I suspect the M62 will be extra busy and probably take ages to get across. It sounds like driving up the M6 will take us deeper into the storm. Getting there could be an adventure but then doing the return in the dark is not worth the riskI’ll watch it on the tv insteadI was mainly going so my lad could visit a new ground but I’ll take him next timeSafe travels to all that go
