Thought he had one hell of a game today, got it forward when he could at pace and consistently mopped up in front of our back 4, I wasn’t a fan at the start of the season, and couldn’t see what Grant kept raving about ! However I now get it ! Long may it continue.

Broadbent is ok off the ball but don’t think he will ever be good enough to be effective at the level above due to he fact he’s not good on the ball.
Thought Broadbent was the best midfielder in the first half Bailey was slightly better I second half but both played well. Then Broadbent was substrate 3. 0 and Bailey went into the defence as Woodcwas substituted. Sbarra in front of them was ok but he’s there for accuracy in his passing if he doesn’t achieve that then I can’t see what he offers. Gibson offers more and scored soon as he came on.

Interesting how we all see things differently. I thought Bailey was excellent and Gibson (especially first half). I do think Broadbent has improved but still not my type of player.
Agree on all these points.Broadbent’s work rate is very good he always puts in a shift, he just makes some silly mistakes, he he works on this part of him game, he would fulfil the praise which always comes from Grant Todays booking was an example, had he used is head a little this could have been avoided, and guess his performance yesterday would have been even better.Mols seemed a little disappointed when he was subbed, noticed how Grant held him for a quick word. Sure he wanted to score on his birthday, but his performance was excellent given he was being heavily marked. That pass was as good as him scoring so he shouldn’t be disappointed.Could have been a different game if they had scored, they were definitely lively.
Slightly non plussed by the comments here- this is one of our least creative midfields in recent seasons and a team with next to no linkage between defence and attack, other than the Sterry- Molyneux axis, so we are seeing a lot of long ball, a lot of it aimless. I like Broadbent but I still feel his distribution is miles off what we need.

Mols is getting better by the week and always seems to have two players to contend with when we get the ball to him.

GM instantly called Nixon back from his warm up.I hope it was just precautionary
