Another tough game as they all are at this stage of the season. Full concentration and no fear required today.

GM said he's spoken to his forwards about better decision making in the final third. I hope that included looking up more to pick out team mates as a higher priority than trying to do it all themselves.

Rovers have been immensely frustrating over the past couple of months, despite being on a good unbeaten run, because we all recognise that those draws should really have been converted into 3 points rather than 1. Today we play a team on a revival, and wanting to consolidate its position to stay up, a proper banana skin type game. Let's hope GM is going to deploy young Charlie Crew either at the start or early enough to make a difference. Fingers crossed we have enough to get a win, another on Monday and we look on track again to get automatic promotion. 1-3 today.

I've a personal vendetta with Andy Crosby after he shouted at me to hurry up and give him the ball at a throw in when I was a ball-boy at Belle Vue. Luckily a man on the pop side gave me a finger of his kitkat and I pushed the trauma deep inside for 34 years. So I'm doubly invested in our victory on Friday!

Maybe just my warped mind....... but where exactly did you shove that kit kat finger....?

Maybe my warped mind as well but I’m sure he said “deep inside”. Now I’m traumatised as well!!  :coat: :coat:
I'm just glad the fella hadn't brought a toblerone!

According to Cadburys a finger of fudge was just enough to give the kids a treat.

Twix fits.
But what about Twix extra?

I think we should start Crew and another (not sure which player): A to freshen things up a bit; and B the opposition won’t have seen much of them to know how they’d probably play.

For all those attending there is to be a minutes applause on 7 minutes for Tranmere former player Joe Thompson who passed yesterday at the age of 36 from Cancer. Please be respectful losing your life is more important than any football rivalry!

They are on a good run. Lost only 2 in 10, with 4 wins and 4 draws. They have won their last 3 home games against a mixed bag of sides in Chesterfield, Bromley and Cheltenham. They are tight at home - in their last 12 home games only once have they conceded more than a single goal. Feels a bit like a draw here would be a decent result and a win would be a really good result.

To add to this, since Tranmere sacked Nigel Adkins on 25 February they have lost only 1 in 9 (losing by a goal away to Harrogate Town) and are unbeaten at home, including against Port Vale. In those 9 games they have accrued 16 points, which is more than we accrued over the same period (14 points). This on recent form will be a very tough place to get a win today. Very tough.

Friend of mines brother in law. No age at all. Had the 'all clear' twice and got it a third time. Has a young family left behind. Absolutely tragic.

Remember this is The Official Jeckyl & Hyde league .(for lower league teams) ...  Last match  Tranmere scored 3 goals by players who until that day and time were not known to have that ability - so please let normal service resume and  hopefully they have the cullenderic defence out. Against us - at our place their defence was the worst seen this season.

I watched that Port Vale game - The Vale goalkeeper made a horrific mistake of passing the ball to  Trani player for the first goal - they weren't bad but PV  should have won as they peppered 10 man Trani's goal second half

Only second time this season that Tranmere have conceded three at home.

Let’s wait for the if only’s. We should have scored more etc. or they will stay away as we didn’t lose or draw.

Fantastic result.

Great set of results today and yet another win at Tranmere, we tend to always do well against them!

See how many of the normally negative people come on her and say something positive for once.

Not getting carried away though as all could change on Monday.

Well deserved, but has to be said that was a soft hat-trick.

Great game, great atmosphere. Good changes and well managed from Grant. Puts us in a great position and you could see the confidence grow in the team, it could have been six, but take that confidence in to Monday and kick on.
Big mentions for Moly, Sterry and TSL who were all MoM for me. Only negative was Gibson didn’t look on it today, but great team performance and battling hard fought win.

Hopefully no injuries will make our bench even stronger than today for Monday’s game.

I thought Ennis did more than Gibson when he came on. If we could get McGrath fit then Bailey, although he did play well at CB, back in midfield with Crew in front of them. Knowing Westbrooke / Kelly can come on as subs.
Changing the two midfield and Ennis then put us back in control. As Crew flagged and Clifton couldn’t tackle as much because of yellow card

We beat Tranmere tomorrow & we leap frog Brad City into the automatic positions.

Walsall draw or lose & we leap frog them also into 2nd spot.

We have the team, the supporters & the management team to make tomorrow a good, good day.

Fair play to all you lads & lasses making the journey tomorrow.

I shall be watching the game swathed in nothing but Rovers shirt & shorts covered in lineament & ale. All at the local golf club where my membership is up for renewal.

I don’t fear a ‘black ball’….unless Rovers get a win by a big margin & I trip on the steps on the way out waving my shirt in the air.

That’ll do for me..shit, just tripped on the steps!!

Good performance today and great to see us kick on in the second half. What really surprised me is that we didn’t really look lethargic whereas I’ve felt we’ve looked knackered in the last 15-20 mins of most games recently. Thought Ennis and Westbrooke looked bright which bodes well for Monday as well.

Not the same thing though, if Gibson had come on when they were chasing the game he would’ve looked good too.
We were being left 3v3 or even 2v3 at times

Brilliant win, the team stood up to be counted today & were excellent to a man, special mentions for Sterry, Mollyneux, & Anderson. Everyone showed real determination & application. Same on Monday & we're almost there. We'll done lads.

Ennis looked bright.
He might start Monday which might leave Gibbo feeling he has a point to prove v Bradford!

A pressure game for both sides today. We handled it, they didn’t. A massive confidence boost for everyone.

Molyneux, Sterry, Bailey and Anderson were immense today but I also thought Crew did well adding some bite and energy to the midfield. Great to see Westbrooke make an appearance too.

A good day!

I appreciate that but I would still start him on Monday knowing we can still  bring Gibson on to show if can do the same. Down to Grant not me.

This game showed the virtue of having squad depth at the back end of the season. Hats off to the ownership team for providing the budget. It's not all that long ago since we had academy players on the bench.
