Walsall Goalkeepers Assault - Why no action ?
« on April 23, 2025, 03:43:15 pm by Butchers Red »
I'm sure anyone who saw this will agree it was shocking to say the least - literally an assault worthy of criminal action.

The referee was running towards it and had a clear unobstructed view from around 25 yards and didn't bat an eyebrow, no action, nothing at all.

It was certainly a straight red and 3 match ban.

So why no retrospective action from the FA ??

Leaves Walsall unscathed and totally unfair on all around them at this finely balanced end of season.

Although I think it was a dangerous challenge I think criminal charges is a touch far.

Surely the Millwall keeper 'tackle' sets the precedent, it was as reckless and out of control - I think the Millwall keeper got 6 games, but this fella gets nothing! As the other thread says, the fact it wasn't even deemed a foul is irresponsible and dangerous refereeing.
