It’s not a poor penalty if the keeper guesses wrong! All of England’s penalties were on target, even if not we’ll struck. Some admittedly looked obvious which way they were going, making them easier to save. Sweden missed the goal 3 times.
Outcome bias.??Bloody hell, if it’s a goal, it’s a goal.!I’ve seen plenty of times when a soft penalty goes the other way to the keeper, the commentator says “slotted coolly home” etcThe trick is deceiving the keeper.

High and hard the keeper never gets it, they don’t dive up

I was impressed by accurate passing throughout the game but Sweden kept the pressure on, obviously a better second half from England. Moore played out from the back and produced some good watchable football.
Surprised no one has mentioned our old friend the water bottle!Seemed like the keeper went in the right place for most of the kicks, surely the England players saw the printed labels, so questionable way they didn’t mix up from their normal penalties.
Gotta give chloe kelly credit for hers also. Camera showed the swedish keeper checking her notes just before and must of tried to put off kelly because kelly sent her the wrong way and then gave her a bit afterwards
It’s not about being able to read them, more knowing that she’s done her research, and changing your usual approach because of that.
