Ian Snodin was one of the best players in the country when he went to Everton. Nails isn’t at that level but is just as important to us.
I was listening to the Not The Top 20 podcast this morning. They picked out Bailey as the best captain in the EFL, justifying it with him always being available to be selected since he joined and playing every single league game, can play in multiple positions, and contributes with goals even though that's not his main job. Can't disagree.
Contracted until summer 2027 with option of a further year.
If he carries on like this then he will be gone either in January or the summer. Players like him should be intrinsic to our business model. Acquire cheap, sell high, reinvest.
