It's amazing that no-one has made a go of them.

Famous name. Decent size stadium, even if it is decrepit. Guaranteed 40k a week if they were top half of the PL
I suggest you keep ‘politically driven’ remarks for the ‘Politics’ section of the forum.

If your dislike for a posters political stance irks you to the extent you have to ‘attack’ them on the Football Forum, I think you should seek help.
The gound doesn’t hold 40k . Intellectually bone idle

Bit unnecessary given it holds 39,700 ish and they’ve got permission to expand to 45,000 ish. The capacity is only temporarily reduced for repairs, which obviously would have been made if they got to the Premier League like Billy suggested.

It holds less then 35000 now (check their website)  and my comment was a bit tongue in cheek as a response to his inane ramblings on the political forum

What happens on the Political forum should stay on there, along with your obsession

It would if they made it to the PL, at relatively low cost.

I realise that takes a tiny bit of intellectual effort, but you can do it.

What's the earliest a team has ever had relegation confirmed?  I know we have the worst team tag for losses , but with them already now 27 points adrift   we at least had a piss poor  Brighton the at least keep the maths possible with only one down . For them to get fourth bottom needs 10 wins now  and 3 teams to get nothing . Could it be all over by  January? Unless they go on a rovers  esque end of season run for twice as long

Is it possible in the modern game to get into the PL at relatively low cost?

I think "relatively low cost" refers to any potential development of Hillsborough.

I reckon the only development of Hillsborough will involve a wrecking ball and a lot of diggers. The costs of fixing the stadium up will far outweigh the building a new stadium on the outskirts of Sheffield, with a possible ground share with United or Rotherham, it would be too expensive for any owner coming in to afford in addition to building a football team. It would not surprise me to see Wednesday in League 2 and struggling unless they find a billionaire to lose their mind and waste half of their assets.

Maybe, I read it differently.
It isn’t overly clear though.

There's no way the Owls and Blades fans would agree to a ground share, just as Everton and Liverpool fans knocked the same idea back several years ago.

New stadiums these days cost hundreds of millions of pounds. Unless Sheffield City Council agrees to fund it, it'll never happen.

I did see that report the Blades approached the Owls administrators about buying them and merging the clubs. If I didn't already know the Blades were owned by americans that would be the giveaway. Utter yank nonsense.

There’s land in DARNALL, where they originated, My sources tell me there is well over a dozen  parties interested in in acquiring the club.

The interest is due to the huge fan base and the income they can generate.
