Name the 4 teams to be relegated
« on November 26, 2025, 08:05:44 pm by Colemans Left Hook »
As our dethroned Leader would say (every year) - its my idea so 'll go first

Mansfield
Northampton  as in don't score
Exeter
Port Vale

My 28/1 bet on Stevenage is looking unlikely

3 out of my 4 for relegation are doing their job today as we hang on to half-time losing 1-0

Mansfield  losing 2-1 they were 2-0 down very early
Northampton as in don't score   4-1 down to Burton  and counting
Exeter  0-0 at Cardiff
Port Vale  3-0 down to Huddersfield who are on a roll

Stockport who i have been backing recently for when their long list of injured return losing  :crying: at home to Lincoln   .. backed Huddersfield at 120/1 for a couple of quid  for the title their cheque book must come out soon.

Nailed on for us if we stay with the same manager. No balls to sack him

As bad as run we are on we have only been well beaten by 3 teams over 90mins we just sumhow need to get a win and not play bad for one half even like alot of games, even 2 or 3 good results will shoot us up but like most not sure where it’s coming from

Whichever of the bottom half do the worst business in January.

martin allen would have been a good choice as caretaker Rotherham manager
he has done the Lazarus act many times and saved clubs.

Vale
Northampton
Exeter
Burton

Some drama yet before the end of the season. First half I saw enough from Rotherham, although not sure Clark is the right man for the job, but a new manager bounce could see them make a run for it. Plus I don't like Burton.

Usher wide.

The run we were on at that time Grant was very lucky to still be on a job, and there weren't many signs that it would come good - strange team selections, strange changes in game etc etc. Our last quarter of a season has been much better - by picking a solid centre half pairing and playing Gotts where he's good. We aren't safe yet - but assuming we do stay up and land somewhere between 18th and 15th it's hardly been a season to crow about. Coming good at the end of the year tends to fog the memory of the rest of the season before - but for me there's lots of issues needing to be resolved in the summer - recruitment, deployment and constant changes, tactics, bloated squad size etc, otherwise it'll be more of the same next year - scrapping about at the bottom of the league, where guessing the team line up for the next game continues to be an impossibility. If we want to build to league one sustainability some things will need to change.

You’re right on the changes of course and it’s fairly obvious where the problems are, e.g.

Goalkeepers - No senior keeper contracted
Full backs - Potentially, 2 to replace/upgrade
CB’s - Pearson, McGrath and Grehan all signed for next year - Byrne for the 4th?
Midfield - Bailey, Gotts, Clifton, Broadbent. Need 2 more?
Forwards - Sharp retiring and only Hanlan signed. We need 2 far better strikers. Wingers - Molyneux, Adelakun, Middleton? A Gibson replacement wouldn’t be a bad idea.

There's a lot more to Gibson than people are giving him credit for. Playing a blinder tonight v PV. He's a keeper for me.

Senior and Clifton are nailed on for extensions and rightly so !! the others - Close Gibson Maxwell I doubt they will be here in the summer , along with most of the lads out on loan

These fans haven't got a clue what we have in Grant.

One of the best in league IMO. Working on an equivalent shoestring given the volume of change required both on and off the pitch yet he has brought this club from the brink of non league to where we should be in a few yrs.

Love this man.
Love this club.

Back them both to the hilt.

I’d like to change this.

On last nights viewing Port Vale will be lucky to finish 25th.
