Bailey needs to play either further back as a centre back or further forward in the Clifton role. He’s not going to fulfil his potential playing as a 6. Argument with the current squad to play Broadbent and Close as the 6&8 and Bailey as the 10, running into box late.

He’s been our best player this season, he needs to play in the position where he can have the biggest impact. I kind of agree with the fact that if he is to play at a higher level it may not be in midfield though.

I couldn’t believe we didn’t try and move him further forward at half time.Maybe if Sterry hadn’t been injured we would have though.

With Close you get two players in one, the first is one who is neat and tidy with the ball but not the dominant player you want in that area pulling the strings. And two when not on the ball is a passenger, rarely winning the ball back in a tackle and is generally played around.
Hoping someone leaves one on Olowu after that leg breaker in the home game
I hope nobody touches olowu.I hope he plays the full 90. I hope that we put 3 or 4 past them and he has a f**king nightmare, scores an own goal in the 90th minute and bailey leans over him and gives him a kiss on the forehead and says cheers for that joe lad. I do love olowu. But im still aggrieved from when he left. When the crowd at the trophy presentation in the stadium chanted sign him up as he walked out, he looked back at the crowd with a big smirk on his face. At the time i thought that was a smirk to say he had already signed. But now i think it was more of a smirk to say "f**k you i'm gone and stockport is my destination"Was he genuine injured during the run in or was it because his heart wasnt into seeing the season out?The b*llocks about not finding a church to settle into for me was total b*llocks.
Thorney, it was another example of not taking the money on offer in January. What happened after was so predictable with his agent knowing money was on the table he and joe could get a slice off it. I knew the situation and said to the guy who told me he would not play another game for us that season, he didn't and did well out of the move and left us empty handed. Don't blame him, we were cought with our pants down and completely naïve and repeated it last close season with McGrath. A case of underestimating one player and completely over estimating another. And if rumour is correct there is at least £750,000 thrown away that could well have helped us to get players able to play at the level we are at now.
