With Tuesdays game against Luton cancelled our next game is against top of the table Cardiff City who yesterday got like ourselves earlier in the season on the wrong end of a five goal tally against Plymouth Argyle and will be itching to get back on track next weekend against ourselves . In that away fixture against them earlier in the season in the midst of our poor run of results we probably gave our best footballing display of the season as Cardiff unlike most sides chose to go head to head with us in an open game that for entertainment was one of the best of the season to watch. The way the game unfolded was an example of how quick their forwards looked in a game our defence struggled with their direct probing runs one on one , and not to be outdone our forwards gave their defence a hard time of it. Taking that in, and looking at yesterdays result t looks like they are better going forward and scoring goals than defending, something we might be able to make the best of. Yesterday we won despite not playing that well against a poor side and despite our come back and two goals in the second half we never reached or had to reach great heights to win the game, both keepers apart from the odd flurry very little to do., TLT only worried by a cross shot that was heading for or near the bottom left hand post he dealt well with. the Rotherham keeper cought out and mugged after a long what could be described as a rest period, with two attacks to deal with he failed at. Cardiff will be a very different problem to deal with, potent up front with pace in wide areas , but can be got at at the back. Will that give us a selection problem? we certainly need to nullify their threat which revolves around pace, Does that mean sacrificing Bailey in mid field to central defence with Byrne? or do we risk him further forward? with the changes at half time yesterday making a positive contribution to the game keep that set up? which was a reaction selection to the original plan that was obviously failing in the first half, credit to the management team for recognising the problem, which to be fair was not that hard to recognise as most of us must have been thinking at half time that's about as bad as it get's right from the first minute, and the managers comment he could change 10 men spot on. So we need a big step up in form, are there tactical changes we can make? and we have a week to recover and regroup. What do you think? our form and picking up points has improved considerably, but every point is precious with us still looking over our shoulder at teams behind us. A win would be a right boost to our confidence we can get away from the relegation places and also we can compete with the better sides in the division, and that's just what the club needs really. Lot's about this game that could give a pointer to our future, losing would not be a disaster because they are a class side at this level and will themselves be looking to put yesterdays result behind them. both management teams will know each others weakness's and strengths, what do you think? lot's to discuss lots to mull over, please have your say.

Gonna be another 5 figure crowd. Thank f**k we have some breathing space after a couple of good wins because the difference in leagues is massive on our finances. Gonna lose Cardiff but gain Wednesday’s. Hopefully West Brom come down too. On game… Think we’ll lose, just hope it’s not a real hammering if we do. I’d start all 3 who came on V Rotherham and changed game. Well earnt.TLTSterrySir ByrneMcGrathSeniorBaileyGottsCliftonMolyneuxHanlanMiddleton

Both of our next 2 opponents have taken a beating in the last few day's , are we going to take advantage of this , or are we going to do our usual Charity act of getting teams back on track . Ever the pessimist I'll go for the latter , but hope for the former.
