How the f*ck does Lee Clark ever get a job. He’s an absolutely terrible manager totally devoid of charisma and, it seems, management skills.

I doubt it, we fans are notoriously pessimistic about our own teams! Fingers crossed though eh??!!

  I hope not, they are very like ourselves who depended on one large contributor and used  his investment well and found some success while the money was there and built the club up with a new ground like ourselves.
  Make no mistake we could well be in the same position in the future and hopefully we will have more sympathy from genuine football supporters who see the big picture and not just self interest and local rivalry and feel big about others problems.

General consensus in their fanbases is that it'll be Paul Simpson with Steve McClaren as director of football. Seems a bizarre one.

Personally, given how their fan base behaved when we fell into the conference I hope they do get relegated again, spend sometime down there before returning like York.

For the last 4 League Two seasons (including 25/26) the average finishing position of teams relegated from League One the season before is 15th.

2 of the 16 of that sample group (Forest Green and Carlisle) suffered back to back relegations, despite having decent financial backing.

I wonder why clubs struggle to cope?

Quite a lot of that sample have been relegated after chopping their budget after the owners got fed up of slaughtering money in L1 (us included). You can’t do that and maintain any sort of form, even at a lower level.

I don't think the quality of football has improved but the physical levels and professionalism have. When we were in the Conference not every club was full time but in recent years, we've seen the strength of lower leagues grow.

If that is the case then how come Bradford have got play offs with players like Sam Walker and Curtis Tilt starting most games?

The athletic levels and tactical organisation in L1 is what’s improved. Like the Championship, it doesn’t really make for entertaining viewing, but it’s tough.
