Well that was a pretty inept performance from him today and his substitution should have come alot earlier.
Peterborough was the same.....

Is he a one shot wonder or does he add something to the team?

Plenty to discuss on this guy I'm sure.......

Piss poor and lazy! We played with 10 men for most of the game!

Wenger must see something in him, he's just signed a new 2 year deal.
Maybe he thinks he's too good for us?

I thought he was poor today, a gifted player no doubt but I can see why Wenger sent him our way, he still has lots to learn.

Picks the wrong option too much but he is young and will learn.

Looked knackered to me 2nd half.

He looked knackered? - Well it wasn't from all the running and chasing he was doing.
We can't afford to start with him against Newcastle. We need 11 on the pitch!

Should have scored in the first half when clear through but obviously has no left foot whatsoever.

Would not close players down, would not put his foot in for a tackle, cut not pass to a fellow red and white shirt.

Yep...all in all pretty poor.

He's nowhere near good enough to get into the Arsenal side and if he doesn't get more involved and up his work rate he never will be. Even at our level his workrate isn't up to what is required and with the way we play we cant afford to carry passengers. After his performance at Peterboro and now today it wouldn't surprise me if he was on the bench on Tuesday He's still only a young lad and if he does stay here i think SOD and ROK will work on him and hopefully bring his workrate up to the level of his skill

Eh!? The kid IS left-footed, and his cracker last Saturday was with said left foot.

He was poor today, because he didn't get in the game. We needed someone to pull the defenders out, and run across their defensive line. Sharp does it perfectly, but it's not JET's role. The guy has a lot of skill, but also is very inexperienced.

Yes I thought he looked knackered before he came off. Either that or Jonathan Forte inspired laziness!

I'd ask the question - are we suited to his development? Controversial I know and that most will say - he'll thrive in our set up but does that force him into a comfort zone, knowing he's got 9 men behind him to allow him to do what he does? I think its interesting Wenger sent Wilshere to a more \"industrious\" team in Bolton where he will be the main creative influence and also be part of a more physical unit.

Unless Wenger sees a new Kanu in him of course.

Lazy, Lazy, Lazy
He done nothing in the short while he's been with us. Was good in short burst versus Derby but thats about it.
Doesn't deserve a place of Shiels or Mutch, or Sam Hird for that matter.

Needs to learn how to become a team player before he deserves a starting place...and a few running lessons wouldn't go a miss

FFS u miserable fcukers, he's a 19 year old kid who's had 1 bad game, get off the lads back. I bet you we're all fcuking drooling when he hit what turned out to be the winner against Derby, and with his performance and goals at Ashton gate (thats if any of you went). I bet you're the same lot that boo lewis.

Today was his worst performance for us without a doubt, but I don't think people should be surprised at him failing to put a foot in and not closing people down, he has been like that throughout his time with us (and I have seen EVERY game he has played).

I don't think we should drop him though, he has that air of unpredictability about him, and you can see that the opposition don't know how to play against him - it was just a case of him playing in a different role today, and one that didn't really suit him.

When has he had a good game?
Might have scored some but its the other 9 outfield players who do all the work for him.
We need ten committed outfield players, not 9 and a lazy git.
Get your specs on and watch the game will you!

You are joking aren't you sunshine haha? Was today your first game because you obviously haven't seen every game he's played with us? He has had a bad game today and was mediocre at the posh. Every other game he has given us something different and looked good. It's a well known fact that he needs to work on what he does when we don't have the ball (as both SoD & RoK have stated on RS) but if you'e saying he hasn't had 1 good game then i bet your match attendance is less then your posts on here.

I don't think he deserved to be dropped from the starting 11, but needs a kick up the backside a warned about being so lazy. And why can't he head a ball, even when he is a foot taller than his opposing number?

Exactly SS, obviously Redrockets wasn't at that match, probably seen him for the first time today and made his judgement on that.

Extremely talented, but not someone I would like in the trenches with me. Today, we needed trenchmen.

But I can see him scoring the winner in the play off final.

Thought he was very poor today, and whenever he did manage to get the ball he gave to a united playeer.

Agreed he has extremely good ball control, but his positioning , awareness and work rate is no where good enough to succeed at the highest level!

So many people on here who must be amazing managers saying JET won't make it etc blah blah. He's 19 years old, which is a baby in terms of development in the game and will learn lots in the coming years. Why don't some of you so called experts get applying for the Jobs at the likes of Bristol City etc when they come up? afterall you obviously know more then Wenger whos recently gave JET a 2 year extension on his contract and has played him in the gunners first team in the past.

its obvious the lad still has much to learn but that's why hes on loan Wenger wants him to have first team football and he wants him to learn he must see Sean as the man to teach him a few things that he can use when he returns to arsenal you cant have a go at the lad he has something or he wouldn't be at arsenal in the first place, when you can do better yourself and get a contract at such a team by all means slag off who you like

Dont right him off yet, he played well enough today until he got a bollocking from Mark Wilson after a quick break broke down midway through the first half, after that he seemed to lose interest, typical 19  year old with an attitude problem, thats the reason hes here to learn and attitude is part of learning. Its up to SOD if this is acceptable
