Interesting, it doesn't seem to be really a deal with Nike but someone called: Just Sport Pro Club.

http://www.justsport-group.com/acatalog/JSPCL.html

They look to have a deal with Nike to supply smaller clubs like Rovers and Scunny, which means I suspect we'll be getting a bog standard template.

Still I reckon the swoosh logo will shift more merchandise.

I think the just sport pro club arrangement is in place with most clubs outside of the premiership, in which Nike are the kit provider. I even think Fulham's deal was through Just Sport Pro Club.

Either way some people wont mind paying £40 for a replica shirt if its from a top manufacturer so we may see a few more people in rovers shirts and hopefully it will be a lot better than vandanel's effort. Although it did say we had an offer from them to remain the kit supplier which cant help them if they are in financial difficulty.

Would you order from a company that could go out of business anytime? If rovers ordered the shirts which never materialise then no doubt the fans will be calling for someones head.

I reckon they will shift probably 25% more gear next year, but I'd rathervwe went with someone like joma

What's your reasoning behind the Joma preference KM ?
Understand Nike (just -sports) are also sorting out the shop as part of the package.  :cheer:

Is it just me, or is there anybody else out there who does not give 2 shits if our shirts are made by Joma, Nike, Vandanel, Millets, Greenwoods, Adidas.........personally I just get a huge buzz, and a semi, by it just being a Rovers shirt. I've never had a bad Rovers shirt yet and loved them all.

Last years shirts were awful.

Would be very happy if it was something like this, very simple and smart looking.

Actually, we got our under 7s footy team Nike shirts, and they are really good.  Good quality, well designed, and made from a very thin yet warm and strong material called Dri-Fit which wicks sweat away from the body.  Maybe our players will benefit an extra % point or so from this technology, so to me it does make a difference who we have.

At face value, whether its Nike or Joma (or anyone else) doesnt mean a lot (unless you are a label snob), but Nike put millions upon millions every year into R&D.  Joma can only dream of that.

\"Shorts don't matter! It's the pumping muscles underneath that matter, the two legs of iron for running around kicking the ball! It doesn't matter if they're blue serge shorts, white cotton shorts, green flannel shorts, monogrammed shorts, hand-stitched shorts, signed shorts, shorts made in Austria or pink shorts that light up at night. They're not important!\"

Is that the sound of a yarn being ripped I  hear?

Welligogs, me old fruit, you spend that much time on here it must be time for you to think about coming home.  We do a full \"Defection Support Package\" for your types, a bit like witness protection.  Look into your heart.  You know you want to.

Hopefully Nike can create a good kit for us. Can't see them being anywhere near as bad as Vandanel as some of their shirts were really uncomfortable to wear and unnaturally tight.

Buy a bigger size ya fat git!  ;)

Whereas I found last year's shirt the most comfortable to wear etc of any we've had.

There is a reason why Nike are prepared to spend so much money on design, sponsorship and promotion. It works. Like it or not many people are prepared to pay more to be seen wearing Nike and feel better wearing it.

Being associated with a brand like this can only be good for the Rovers. For instance in the playground it gives kids another small reason to support the Rovers because like it or not Nike lends the Rovers that bit more credibility.

Rovers aspire to be seen as a growing, professional club with genuine long term ambitions. Sad as it may seem, being associated with Nike does add a little more weight to that claim.

I think this is a good move.

Speak for yourself. I genuinely cannot understand why some people are apparaently having wet dreams just because some poor third world kid has stitched one crappy logo on a shirt instead of another.

Agree totally there mate. Plus I like to think it puts us in the same category as Brazil, Barcelona, Arsenal and Man Utd

I think having a top quality kit can only be of benefit. With Nike putting all the money into research it provides a higher quality product which the players will feel more comfortable wearing, which can only give Stocky more reasons to pop it in the top corner from 30 yards at Deepdale.
