Would you order from a company that could go out of business anytime? If rovers ordered the shirts which never materialise then no doubt the fans will be calling for someones head. I reckon they will shift probably 25% more gear next year, but I'd rathervwe went with someone like joma
Is it just me, or is there anybody else out there who does not give 2 shits if our shirts are made by Joma, Nike, Vandanel, Millets, Greenwoods, Adidas.........personally I just get a huge buzz, and a semi, by it just being a Rovers shirt. I've never had a bad Rovers shirt yet and loved them all.
Hopefully Nike can create a good kit for us. Can't see them being anywhere near as bad as Vandanel as some of their shirts were really uncomfortable to wear and unnaturally tight.
Last years shirts were awful.http://www.directsoccer.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Red-Yellow-Flash-Jersey-Snr.htmlWould be very happy if it was something like this, very simple and smart looking.
i think we are all label/name whores at some level
There is a reason why Nike are prepared to spend so much money on design, sponsorship and promotion. It works. Like it or not many people are prepared to pay more to be seen wearing Nike and feel better wearing it. Being associated with a brand like this can only be good for the Rovers. For instance in the playground it gives kids another small reason to support the Rovers because like it or not Nike lends the Rovers that bit more credibility. Rovers aspire to be seen as a growing, professional club with genuine long term ambitions. Sad as it may seem, being associated with Nike does add a little more weight to that claim.I think this is a good move.
I doubt they're made here.... Probably some backstreet in Mumbai/Shanghai/Any_other_hai...
