I hope we can still get Billy, but if we cannot then the money in the budget for him and the money we put we must have had for Jason Shackell will still be available so we go out get get another striker or two. Loanees aswell will be good.
Sean said he wanted a Striker, Centre half and Midfield player they are still to sign. We have replaced Gareth with George. So lets get all the signings in place to start pre season if we can.

Let me get this right then, Burnley have yet to make a bid but from various reports Burnley are speaking to him, Sheffield United must have given them permission to speak to him! have we got the same permission and if not why not? We are the only club to have made a bid for him are n`t we? We need to get to speak to him to convince him that his future is here, unless Sheffield United don`t want to sell to us, in which case we were a tad nieve when we did n`t play him in the two games against them, when we were being \"honourable\"

strange this one, what happened last summer with Richie Wellens, was he given permission by the club to speak to Leicester or did his agent just whisper quietly what that club was prepared to offer?the same could be happening with Sharp?

The longer this goes on the more I get the Impression Sheffield United Do n`t want to sell to us and Radio Deedar is backing Sheffield United`s attempt to ship Billy off to Burnley. If Billy is happy to play in a shit ground in a no mark town in Lancashire then he has no standards, but it certainly looks like we`ve lost out to the power of the parachute payments, time to move on, good luck Billy and thanks but you`re making a very big mistake going over the hills!

Its all a game, no harm in Billy heading over the Pennines and in a Little Britain style saying \"Don't like it\"

United might then have another look at our offer.

This is where we fall down in the transfer market, when we get to talk to a player we say go away and talk to other clubs instead of giving the player the hard sell, you can bet your life Burnley will be doing their utmost to get him to sign, they certainly won`t tell him to go away and talk to us, we are simply too nice when it comes to negotiations

That's a bit harsh, Filo, they are simply reporting news. The rest of your comments I agree with completely, big mistake and definately time to move on!! NEXT!!

Can we organise road blocks on the M62, Woodhead Pass, and Snake Pass and get a snatch squad together to rescue Billy from his impending mistake while his car is stuck in the road blocks  :)

In fact to road blocks might be sufficient to persuade Billy that the commute to Burnley every day is horrendous

Didn't SOD have talks with Burnley? He has gone to see what's on offer, can't blame the lad but Billy still has the option of saying no, if Burnley's offer isn't substantially better than ours!

Don't worry about what the deedar says..
Billy is not signing for Burnley

Reason i know this, is that i know him away from football.

If you look through my threads i told you all he was coming to the keepmoat 2 hours before he signed on loan.

Also will he sign for the Rovers...No.

Once he signs for someone i will give you the rundown of events. (I cant tell you this now as you never know who reads these forums).. Once he signs for 'someone' i will put another thread up.

The question has to be asked though, if he is not signing for Burnley, why is he apparently off to talk to them?  I do not doubt you, it would just seem strange.

I personally think that Billy not coming may not be such a bad thing.  I am sure there are other nuggets out there and if we were to buy him it may have caused some dissention in the squad.

Billy isnt talking to Burnley in person.. A conversation has been had with them a few days ago, and yes a offer was accepted by SUFC for Billy a while ago..

BUT thats it nothing else is happening on the Burnley front.

So if it's not us or burnley, and it will be a surprise to everyone who the team is, you can then count out Leeds as it wouldn't be a surprise. i'm thinking Forest or Derby because BS will not want to move away from where he lives now.

Nudga, i was not meaning it will be a surprise on the actual team in question.. i think there will be some surprises on the business/financial side of things...

Billy lives in Dore in Sheffield and your right he has no interest in moving.

Nothing will happen with Billy moving clubs until after the end of this month.

He's waiting till after his stag do this weekend, then he gets married at the end of the month before anything is made public on which club he is going to..

It then saddens me to say he will become a Leeds player.

You've already revealed where he's going in this post or have things changed since!.

Surley you should be able to rule out a couple more of the teams being linked with him then if he isn't going to them.

Well done DonnyRTID.

I will post other information when i can on the buiness end of things (I mean when something has happened.) Our Chairman has/is jumping through hoops on this one. He's played a blinder up to know so you still never know.

And as they say its not over till the fat lady sings. So i guess things could still go sour yet on the plans.

If i hear anything else, i will tell the truth and nothing but for us fans.

We did. We offered her a great package which included her own stapler, an unlimted amount of Post-it notes and if she ever managed to spot someone updating DROS a five minute trolley dash round Asda.

Unfortunately Leeds offered silly money. ;)

I f**kin well hope he doesn't go to Leeds because i work there with some right smug Kitson Leeds fans and i told them last month that they didn't have a cat in hells chance of signing him. He shall be known as Billy the bas**rd in my house if he goes there my blood is boiling already. The bas**rd.
