True.Would he have commanded a higher wage?
An unproven league 2 player can command a higher wage than a premier league player, not convinced on that one(Leicester must be made of money, not).

I doubt Leicester have learnt anything from their brush with disaster.
After thinking about this a bit more, we may be getting carried away with this south yorkshire comment. It says he wants to stay in south yorkshire and fight for his place. Different meanings i think.
Billy said that he wants to stay in s yorks why didn t he say he wants to stay at sheff utd,he also said he wants to fight for his place in the team well he s got to say something like that as he cant really say im not going to burnley to mess kb,s plans up to sign nosworthy.
We need to seek permission to talk to him, it sounds like Burnley got to talk to him, Sheffield United want rid or they would n`t have granted Burnley permission to speak to him, so really the ball is in our court and I would hope we are trying to gain permission as I type this
Just want to ask have any of the clubs involved said it is game over? Have SUFC came out and said we will not accept any more bids for Sharp, he is not for sale? Have DRFC said we are no longer pursuing Sharp as he is no longer for sale?

Do remember folks that there are no quotes in The Star there...actually there is one from Blackwell, but it is related to Charlie Mulgrew, not Billy. If we can persuade Billy to come, I think he will. Sheff U are willing to sell him, we are in a good position now. Especially if the way has cleared and the competition for him has dwindled.Have faith in John Ryan and SOD, they must feel it is still possible to sign him.
