And he throttled that wonker Joey Barton.... or was that Sarge?
Dave was always a talented footballing centre back he got the nickname of \"The Kaiser\" by us because we felt he used to think he was as good as Franz Beckenbauer when he had the ball at his feet, with one too many drag backs on occasions but another Belle Vue legend no doubt
I'll always remember dangerous Dave's bullet header at Stoke!

Not that I remember at the time - I was near-vomitting from relieved tension* up at the back of the stand.EDIT: * And I DON'T mean \"relieved tension\" in a Nudga-stylee.
There was always a mistake in him, but watching him play you couldn't help but think he was far too good for the Conference. There were many times I wondered how on earth he'd ended up dropping down to that level, but then he'd lose his concentration and the question would be answered.
I'd have taken Dangerous Dave over Nick Fenton every time (even after that horror show at Hudderfield).
Recent heros. Barnes, Whitman, Green,Morley, Tierney.Without them, where would we be ? (That day, is still more important to me than the Millenium and Wembley)Plus, where did Dagenham & Redbridge come from, where did they go and, who do they play on the opening day this season ?Funny old game !
