Let’s wait and see if the police prosecute him, then we will have the answer

I see, get a question you can't truthfully answer and so you turn round and want someone else to answer it instead.

Coward.
I have already answered your question above so maybe rather than call me a coward you should say sorry

The guidance says this is "your village, town or the part of a city where you live"

This should be done locally wherever possible, but you can travel a short distance within your area to do so if necessary.

Public outdoor places where you can conduct your daily exercise includes:

parks, beaches, countryside accessible to the public, forests
public gardens (whether or not you pay to enter them)
the grounds of a heritage site
playgrounds

You even say it yourself. He didn't stay in the part of the city he lives in.

It doesn't matter a feck 'what you think'. Did he travel within the part of the city he lives in, as defined by the lockdown regulations?

tbf - I think you can exercise once a day for as long as you like as long as you "stay local"

Given that those 2 women got fined for driving 5 miles to somewere in Peak District because it was "not local" according to poilice this could get interesting (but of course WONT)

Critics of the guidelines say (in the womens defence) there is no definition of what consitutes "local" and so I reckon any good brief could get them off as it and Johnsons case rest on whay exactly IS local ?

Above the post you called me a coward

No apology until you say whether he stayed within the part of the city he lives in or not, as per the lockdown rules you quoted yourself.

See a few replies went in - so after reading them I went to GOV UK and copied this IN ITS ENTIRETY. It is every word in the excercise section

You should minimise time spent outside your home, but you can leave your home to exercise. This should be limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your local area.

You can exercise in a public outdoor place:

    by yourself
with the people you live with
with your support bubble (if you are legally permitted to form one)
in a childcare bubble where providing childcare
or, when on your own, with 1 person from another household

This includes but is not limited to running, cycling, walking, and swimming. Personal training can continue one-on-one unless everyone is within the same household or support bubble.

Public outdoor places include:

parks, beaches, countryside accessible to the public, forests
public gardens (whether or not you pay to enter them)
NOTE (this is me again) Nowhere in this does it define staing in your own s=Street town or oart of a town - it just says stay LOCAL. THere is no definition if that is within a mile of your house - 5 miles from your house or within 10 miles of your house and that is the trouble with it

Why bother wasting your time quoting lockdown rules if you're then not going to agree with them...?

2 women got fined for driving 5 miles the other day for excercise,  that is under review now I believe to be fair.  The joy of public service is you are held to a higher standard, if he's gone 7 miles that's out of order and as with the Cummings mess makes it impossible for it to be policed

that is the problem wolf to some 7 miles is local to some it is not, the rules should be clearer maybe and say you can travel so many miles, a friend of mine goes out on his bike and travels a little further away probably than he should but the roads where he lives are still quite busy and not ideal for being a cyclist on so he goes where it’s quiet and safer, I wouldn’t class him as breaking the law as he goes near no other person

It is about simple bloody common sense.

There are several parks MUCH closer to Downing Street.
Hyde Park
St James's Park
Regent's Park
Battersea Park
Burgess Park
Clapham Common

It's about setting a bloody EXAMPLE!

We had Hancock on Marr yesterday morning complaining that people weren't sticking to the guidelines and were pushing at the boundaries. If that is the case, it is absolutely vital that the PM is absolutely on the money in terms of setting an example. At the VERY least, what he has done is utterly stupid.

You quoted clearer rules yourself (ie 'the part of a city where you live').

Are you now saying you were wrong and these aren't the rules?

Add Green Park to that list.

Add going round and round Trafalgar Square. At least it's still in Westminter.

Have a go at me for I made a rod for my own back, when support bubbles first were introduced i made one with my partner and her family. I'm in Newcastle she's back home in Donny. According to the letter of the rules that's OK which shows the madness of it.

The bloke in charge could be  Johnny Vegas for all it matters . He sets the tone for the rest of us and said he shouldn't push guidelines., if he can do 7 mile on his bike , how can a copper stop any one now for doing that.

Apparently Johnson was 'concerned by what he saw in the area'.

Did he not think maybe the park was busy because people were coming from 7 miles away - and not leaving when they saw it was busy?

what has he done that might infect someone? Did he follow social distancing? Have you any stats how many people have passed the virus on while cycling?
