The guidance says this is "your village, town or the part of a city where you live"This should be done locally wherever possible, but you can travel a short distance within your area to do so if necessary.Public outdoor places where you can conduct your daily exercise includes:parks, beaches, countryside accessible to the public, forestspublic gardens (whether or not you pay to enter them)the grounds of a heritage siteplaygrounds

He went 7 miles to me that is local and no apology then when I had answered
Above the post you called me a coward
See a few replies went in - so after reading them I went to GOV UK and copied this IN ITS ENTIRETY. It is every word in the excercise sectionYou should minimise time spent outside your home, but you can leave your home to exercise. This should be limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your local area. You can exercise in a public outdoor place: by yourself with the people you live with with your support bubble (if you are legally permitted to form one) in a childcare bubble where providing childcare or, when on your own, with 1 person from another householdThis includes but is not limited to running, cycling, walking, and swimming. Personal training can continue one-on-one unless everyone is within the same household or support bubble.Public outdoor places include: parks, beaches, countryside accessible to the public, forests public gardens (whether or not you pay to enter them)NOTE (this is me again) Nowhere in this does it define staing in your own s=Street town or oart of a town - it just says stay LOCAL. THere is no definition if that is within a mile of your house - 5 miles from your house or within 10 miles of your house and that is the trouble with it
BpoolIt is about simple bloody common sense. There are several parks MUCH closer to Downing Street.Hyde ParkSt James's ParkRegent's ParkBattersea ParkBurgess ParkClapham CommonIt's about setting a bloody EXAMPLE!We had Hancock on Marr yesterday morning complaining that people weren't sticking to the guidelines and were pushing at the boundaries. If that is the case, it is absolutely vital that the PM is absolutely on the money in terms of setting an example. At the VERY least, what he has done is utterly stupid.

I wonder if this thread would have got this long if corbyn or any other labour mp had gone on a 7 mile bike ride
The bloke in charge could be Johnny Vegas for all it matters . He sets the tone for the rest of us and said he shouldn't push guidelines., if he can do 7 mile on his bike , how can a copper stop any one now for doing that.
Hancock also says if you go for a long walk and end up 7 miles away that is fine
