Interesting to see the way we are defending corners with the back line on the edge of the six yard box, gives Jones a bit of room to work in

Breath of fresh air... moving the ball quickly, good movement off the ball and working hard.

This has been coming with us to be fair, but it is better, I suppose the real truth will be in a few games, can we keep this up. I wasn't sure about the keeper, I thought he looked very nervous in the cup game earlier this year, but his distribution has been excellent so far.

Bostock has very little change of speed, but a bit like Copps he doesn't need it, I am slightly concerned about how many cards he will pick up though - he likes a two footer...

Smith has been the one who has disappointed me though, he has slowed the play up every time he gets it - this might be because the pass isn't on, I can't see the whole pitch.

It's just one half so not too carried away but far more intent and tempo in the game.  Much more forwards movement to the passing.  Hard to know if butler has changed that much but still a strong half.

Only just noticed we got a game tonight , missed the first 31 mins and find we don’t have a bloody manager..... guess I should keep a better eye on these club shenanigans .....

What a surprise play Copps in his best position and he runs the show. My only gripe we're still a little toothless in the final third.

Bostock and copps in the middle for the rest of the season please. Class and composure from both of them.

Copps has been excellent in that little role behind

He's keeping the ball moving with nice simple stuff. Stark contrast to when Richards hangs onto the ball wanting too many touches.

Well me and my brother agree that was a very enjoyable first half.
More pressing, more positive play, more tempo.

Interesting to hear Danny say that Butts has asked for ‘10 seconds of fury if we lose the ball, then back into our shape’.

You can see Butts’ philosophy all over the pitch tonight.

Just got to keep Harrison quiet. Not many beat big Tom in the air but this guy has a couple of times tonight. also LJ looks a lot smaller than I remember.......

Portsmouth having a bit of a go, to be expected. We need a nice little break away goal now.
