Nearly every advert on TV has a mixed race family in it, surely to god that doesn’t represent anything reasonably normal other than patronising the coloured folks!
sha66y choice of words out of date but you make a valid pointInclusivity has gone mad. When I was a lad. Many many moons ago no one gave a monkeys about whether superman or Batman or any other super hero had a partner of any kind it was fictionalWhy have Disney suddenly decided to give cartoon characters sexuality. It’s absolute nonsenseI can only assume that all this wokeism is going to continue to take over the world
We are becoming a pure woke society that is so clean it's dirty.
It's become a fashion with advertising to feature mixed race families. These things go through phases. I remember when nearly advert had a hapless idiot husband who was always stupid and a smart wife who was always right. It's the brands that want to make a statement about their values, Kellogs aren't sexist. McDonalds isn't racist. And in both cases we're modern brands hoping to appeal to a younger demographic. They will have all the data that tells them this will appeal to the consumers they want to attract. If it upsets you, not to worry. It merely confirms you're past it and these businesses are no longer interested in you.
"coloured" Says it all,really.

Shaggy, you were onto something with your original point. But that c word is classed as a racial slur in many parts of the world. Including the uk. Worthy of modification imho, and lesson learnt.
Coloured, would in my eyes be fine had it not been used primarily to segregate people when racism was actually a legal standpoint. It has negative connotations to anyone it is used against, it’s used hand in hand with white supremacy. People of Colour I believe is the more accepted term.

They are all differing variations of brown, and when we as a society can stop pigeon holing and incorrectly labelling other folk, we may get some balance back…
