Anywhere else on the pitch and that's a free kick

Would have preferred to win obviously but a draw isn’t a disaster.

Why did we not start to step up the pace until the subs came on? Such poor team selection by McCann.

Good point in the end considering how bad we were 1st half

14 shots, only 2 on target. How many more times does this have to happen before it is addressed in training. Rovers are either not setting goal scoring opportunities properly or they are not making the most of them. GM said he was dragging them over the line, he might find that difficult if we don't beat these teams.

That was an awful referee, yet again. He gave us nothing. We get a free kick with 30 seconds to go, and as soon as we take it, he blows for full time.

Teddy man of the match.

We could still get lucky if other results go our way. We need chesterfield to do us a favour

It’s going to be the big games we need to win. Beat Walsall, Notts, Bradford, Salford and Wimbledon we should be up

These shots on target comments are just wrong.
I can think of at least three shots on target that were blocked or deflected wide.

The passing is generally poor and completely haphazard in the attacking third.

Lack of quality, we won’t win any leagues or get promoted playing like that. Uglied a point there. Crewe have a couple of players that could play at a higher level. Clifton was terrible, Gibson lacking any confidence. Why not start the next game with the same two up top and Street out wide.

5 blocked that were on target and 1 hit the post. It wasnt like they all were off target.

The shots stats are a poor thing to use.
You could have a tame shot trickle straight to the keeper that he catches and it counts. But a rocket heading for the top corner that gets blocked on the line doesnt count.

A shot blocked is not counted as on target, it needs to go in or be saved when going in

And shots hitting woodwork are deemed 'off target'

So basically you are saying that crewe have quality but we dont? Did they actually outplay us??
They were the team who was holding on and will be glad of the point. We hit the post and had a couple of penalty shouts turned down.

I think blocked on line is on target, but blocked at or near source is not

Just not good enough today. Missing the fullbacks and Joe. Fair play on the changes but you cant be chucking on the cavalry every week in desperation. We didnt look like we knew what a football was for the first half hour.

I know all that Dutch but I’m saying that people put too much emphasis on the stat.
If a shot is going on target and is blocked by a defender then very obviously it is a shot on target.
Some people only go by the stats and not what their own eyes should see.
Ennis himself had two shots late on, the first would have gone in but was blocked and from the rebound his next shot was on target but was deflected onto the post.
