Great penalty save.
What would you do to the idiot who got himself sent off if you were Bradford manager?

Probably the minor-ist of minor points but wow what was their keeper doing for Billy's goal? Talk about losing his bearings.

You can tell from the refs reaction that their player really pushed his luck multiple times then said something that crossed the line.

Baldwin seemed to completely lose his head after the booking. His team mates will be furious with him.

Could n’t understand it we were against 10 men and pulled everyone back at set pieces, why didn’t we leave one up front?

Gibson good today. Broadbent could have been tighter for their goal. Maxwell probably slightly hard done by.

My view of the Maxwell one was that it is a pen but he didn’t mean it. Was falling and landed the back of their man’s leg. It’s a pen.

Gibson was great today tracking back a lot too. He seemed up for it. Wish he had some power in his boots though. Moly a bit quiet today. Saving himself for clinching the title

Probably the worst ever sending off in terms of stupidity i have ever seen with the exception of Tomlin on the stroke of half time away at erm Bradford.

If you discount the five minutes that the game was stopped following the penalty save, Billy Sharp’s goal hit the back of the net just seven seconds after the restart of play.

Happy memories of Brentford which was more like 20 seconds after the penalty miss.

Absolutely loved being there today. For a number of reasons I’ve not been able to get across to games as much as I’ve been used to. Today was so special. So many familiar faces to say hello to and catch up with. It’s what I love most about this club and I wouldn’t have missed that experience for the world.

After looking so in control up to half time, we went on to make typically hard work of it. But these moments make the memories that bit more special. Bradford thought they’d got back into it, but they celebrated too soon and ultimately we made it our moment, not theirs. And we fully deserved it too.

Brilliant performances from TSL, Sterry, Maxwell (penalty aside), Bailey and Anderson - who was an absolute colossus all game. Really enjoyed watching Gibson, a very clever player. Everyone did their job well. Street is a handful, Clifton’s physicality is useful with a footballer like Crew in there. The team did what they had to do against a very disappointing opponent.

Job done. We can enjoy going for the title next week and look to next season. Huge well done to all at this very special football club.

Good that you made it back to see us today Jonathan.
It was such a great atmosphere in the South Stand today, terrific noise most of the game and I saw so many of my mates in there, all celebrating like mad.
As you say, great memories and yet another “I was there match”.
I can hardly wait to be at Notts County next weekend.

Bradford didn’t disappoint me.
Feel a bit sorry for friends in Bradford but at the end of the day, we are up.

County need to beat us and Bradford to lose and Walsall to draw or lose to have a chance of third place.

Probably the minor-ist of minor points but wow what was their keeper doing for Billy's goal? Talk about losing his bearings.

You can tell from the refs reaction that their player really pushed his luck multiple times then said something that crossed the line.

I don’t think their keeper was out of position for Billy’s goal Noel.
Billy coming in at that angle meant he had to cover the near post shot.

He was almost outside the near post but pleasantly agree to disagree given the outcome.

It's our weakest link, defending set pieces,Grant normally goes for it and will not sit back, but with so much riding on winning he maybe didnt' want too much risk at set pieces, yet again today there goal was from a Brad halliday throw in.
P.s. Is it true we are the only team to do the double on the City gents this season?

Certainly showed him where to put it… and he put it right there! Great finish!

Lovely to see you again today Jonathan and I’m so glad for you and for me that the boys delivered for us.

They didn’t allow us to relax mate but they got the job done!

Really hope to see you at more games next season in League One.

Blame the keeper if you want, but that was postage stamp finishing by one of the best finishers the game has ever seen, with such composure at such a key time.

He has been in Grants ear for a couple of weeks about this, and he did it. He loves this club and that is genuine love, it’s so rare that you get this in todays game, but we and SUFC have been so fortunate to have him, and he chose us over so many others. So pleased for him, he will have been beating himself up over the red card madness every day since.

I’m not sure if he will be here next year, but I would love him to be.

It would be interesting to know because that referee was furious - some footballers are just thick . I bet the manager made sure he was put in his place in the changing room
