On Clifton, there looked enough of an arm pull to prevent him getting to the ball, ref bottled that for me.

One of the worst time wasting teams I’ve ever seen. The Ref was just as bad, strolling about, taking ages to get into ‘position’ after giving us free kicks, then a long pause before finally blowing the whistle.
Best one was their keeper caught the ball in his ‘midriff’ an obvious catch then placed the ball on the floor and then picked it up again, right on his near post. I did not think keepers could put the ball down and pick it up again.
5minutestogo, would you please forward a copy of the laws of the game where it says holding and pulling an arm softly is not a direct fee kick and therefore a penalty. Stop listening to catch fraises on match of the day from old players who spent a career cheating themselves and are happy for others to get away with it unless it is against the top sides where they go the opposite way and highlight the offence. and want a free kick. I never heard the fraise "not enough in it" until the last few years, I have heard a referee some years ago say to a player" don't you think so, you stand out of the box and watch him take it"

It was not a penalty imho. Clifton is a canny lad and had clearly worked out that all you had to do to win a foul from this ref was to sit down if a defender touched you. Unfortunately the rule was only applied in favor of Luton.
Definite penalty. What's that now, that we've had turned down this year? 6? 7? And nearly every one has cost us points. We could, and arguably should be a comfortable midtable side.
