Nothing on Wikipedia, and that usually the first place these rumours turn up.
just heard the Gaz Roberts has signed for Derby today. I hope this is not a sign of things to come. All the best to him though, he has served us well.

That is one theory. It might also be possible that Gaz Roberts is recognised as an established championship player and is moving to a club who require an established championship left back, and who can offer him substantially more in wages than we can.If that is the case, there's not much the club can do.
Also Im confident that Rovers are fully aware of the risk's and IF a 1,2 or even 4/5 players leave due to failures in contract talks they are more than capable of replacing any player, often with BETTER players. As much has I loved him and repect him for what he did at Rovers,Did Greeny leaving have any effect on the clubs progress at all? It's easy to sit there and say we should'nt make the same mistake again but what could the club do to stop Greeny leaving?Match the £12,000 or so as rumoured to be offered by Derby? We are having such a hard time trying to sign Billy sharp with similar wages to stop any wage war.Imagine what would have happened if Rovers had given Greeny a contract of around £12,000 a week?We could'nt match wage offers to keep Ritchie and Millsy. We Still improved and became an even better team.
didnt green go for 6k a week?
