I don't think Sprotyrover is a member of any gang. This forum's only "gang" constitutes a handful of Lefties and not ONE of those condemned SydneyRover for his libellous lies on this forum about me.

The best thing to do is ignore him thus making his contributions a complete waste of time.

No idea what this issue with his dad is. The only thing I can see is that fans of previous clubs have said he’s had a bad attitude. Hopefully he’s grown up or Grant can manage him.

Haks was never ours so he's not jumped ship. He has no obligation to us, except we gave him the chance to shine. Once he's back in the shop window, then there was always the risk he wouldn't come on board if we didn't get promoted. Even then, I get the feeling he's more self focused and sees himself higher than League Two, and would be open to the highest bidders. He knows how football is. Hero to Zero in a short period and visa versa.

I think Haks might live to regret this, his CV is pretty unimpressive - we are the one bright spot on his average career to date - and he's immediately jumped ship. He might earn a few more quid elsewhere but I'd guess he'll be back to benchwarming and zeroes in the 'goals' column.

Agreed and I know this might sound ridiculous but I think we've dodged a bullet.
There's absolutely no doubting the impact he had on the team when he first arrived but that form nosedive towards the end. Maybe burnt out? I don't know but he never had that sort of impact elsewhere?
We were as good for him as he was for us.

I think a lot of these posts saying his form nosedived or similar are pretty unfair. He had 2 poor playoff games but in the final 6 league games he still got 3 goals and 3 assists, whereas in the 3 games beforehand he had “only” 3 goals. Some fall off!

His overall record and goal involvement was insanely good but the rest of his career suggests it was a Lingard or Almiron-esque purple patch. Moly was always the more important for me - he’s always busy and works hard even when the end result isn’t there.

Mods, please can we put and end to this tit for tat pointless bickering?  I know this is off topic but this is getting tedious.

I know I get dragged into it sometimes but really try to hold my tongue figuratively speaking:

There’s a lot going on in politics and in the world at the moment which folks will quite rightly want to discuss and disagree on.

But this personal slanging, from folks who I suspect are old enough to know better, is just too much, isn’t it.??

Fair point IDM

Maybe you should stop using selby as a prop for your own petty feuds ldr, a real friend would guide him away from bragging about his money and his racist/misogynist comments which only make him foolish.

It's easy to say with hindsight but I agree the most important one of the three was Moly and he's committed to us long term at a time when he should be coming into the peak of his career. I've mentioned on a few other threads that any frustration I had with him in the early part of last season was caused by him being our only wide attacking threat and opposing teams knowing they could nullify us if they shut him down. Haks giving opponents something else to think about gave Luke more space to operate and I would hope that Gibson and Hurst will do the same sort of job.

Sbarra is an upgrade on Biggo so no sleep lost there. As others have said, Biggo was average at best for long spells. Popping up with occasional thunderbas**rd goals is all well and good but we need consistent high levels if we're going to go all out for the title.
