Also, there’s the keeper issue to resolve, so something has to give there!

Stay on the topic Syd, and avoid the irrelevant drivel.
It is nothing whatsoever to do with Corbyn. The problems have been there since the original privatisation of the water industry.

We are talking about the investment strategies of private equity owners of an essential public service.

"Thames Water is collapsing because it has racked up nearly £19 billion of debt. In 1989 it started out with zero debt. It has spent the last 34 years profiting at our expense. The company has paid out £7.2 billion in dividends and in 2022 paid out £37 million of “internal dividends” to its parent company."...from https://weownit.org.uk/

Water is a natural monopoly, there is no market for consumers.
The English model of privatisation is very unusual, and Scotland retains water in the public sector.
90% of the world supplies water in public ownership.

Publicly owned Scottish Water has spent £72 more per household per year (35% more) than the English water companies.
If England had invested at this rate, an extra £28 billion would have gone into the infrastructure to tackle problems like leaks and sewage.

Or why dd any party did not feel the need over the past 200 years or so, how does your mind compute all this, the first party in over 200 years decides to take action and it's them you try to blame for not doing it earlier mister centrist.

I'm not blaming anyone for anything (but then you would read your own slant into taking a dump)

I'm asking why Labour feel the need at this time to raise this option, what's changed from then to now that they feel this would be a vote getter?

Did they not think that non-doms should of paid their way then but all of a sudden do now?

Is this not just more rehashed bollo*ks from Starmer's think tanks and review groups who just want to punish individuals with some extra cash (unless of course its coming their way)

Politics of greed and envy will never carry over into public acceptance. The majority of the electorate are mindful of the requirements of the sick and needy, what they don't want is to be fleeced for political dogma, that never ends well.

If you refer to the Solihull Moors fans’ forum you will see a mix of theories about why he is leaving. His outstanding season was 22/23 and more recently he has suffered illness. There is a good deal of gratitude expressed with hints that his resilience may be a factor influencing his release. Against this they do not rule out the possibility that he already had another club lined up which could also have been why it would be pointless not to release him. (Notts County was one guess as to which club this might be.) https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/t7090,offset=10

The Big Issue have produced a summary of the main U-turns under Keith and Co;
https://www.bigissue.com/news/politics/keir-starmer-broken-promises-tuition-fees-nationalisation-u-turn/

Useful, as it is hard to keep track with so many reversals and dropped promises.

I hope you can survive selling 'em Albie cos if the tories keep getting up you may need to sell a lot.

You're a funny guy Albie, all there points that you raise and that everyone else keeps 'completely missing' all added up are the reasons that corbyn didn't get into office, twice, what a shame that this point is the one that you and your mates are completely missing aye?

A decent thread about on X I’ve found analysing JS, seems a very very good player and seems to be highly rated by other clubs too. Rumours Blackburn were interested, but not sure if that would be true if he’s ended up here.

If we’re continuing the non-league gems theme, then the best attacking right back in that league  - Connor Barrett from Fylde is out of contract.

9 assists and 2 goals.

Good, direct right back. Very good age too.

I expect we will be looking to place on loan

Faulkner
Flint
Straughan-Brown
Sotona (if not sold)
Degruchy
Kuleya
Goodman

Maybe even Jones or Lawlor too.

So still plenty space in the squad to fill.

If the three contract offers get taken up by some miracle, that's a squad of 29. Then even without anyone permanent coming in, it seems unlikely we will pass up the advantage of at least one or two loans coming in. That then is a 30+ squad. Several of the young lads will have to go out on loan.

Plus the Youth team defender Freddie Allen also offered a professional contract

Correct in original post, thank you Dutch.
