I’m not belittling the tragedy of Heysel nor any other..

You can’t blame/punish LFC forever for the behaviour of supporters..

Why not Millwall are and we never killed anyone?

b*llocks.. Millwall are not to blame for their fans’ behaviour no more than any other club are..

Millwall are not to blame for previous issues but they still get punished. Members only all ticket away matches, reduced ticket allocations, OTT heavy handed Policing/stewarding, plus vilification for any minor misdemeanour on the likes of Talksport after a silly song gets sung by a dozen teenage plonkers. The list goes on. Far worse issues at many PL clubs than anything that goes on down in SE16 are ignored or swept under the carpet every week, because the powers that be don't want to tarnish the pc, family image of the PL money machine, whereas they can show their do-gooder credentials by hammering unfashionable, working class clubs such as Wall and yourselves at any opportunity. I hate everything about PL football and all it stands for.

Best thing about Millwall being in the Premier League would be nobody would have a clue how to handle it - the fans, the media, the players, the forum experts, etc.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when a group of tourists from a faraway land dressed in club shop merchandise and waving selfie sticks rock up in the Cold Blow Lane End as well - could be interesting!

We seem to attract a few eastern Europeans to the Den. There was a couple of Serbs or something behind me in the Dockers the other week. I think they come expecting to be part of Green Street or something and end up going home wondering what all the fuss was about. Still it was another couple of clicks on the turnstile.

The first high profile riot type behaviour I can remember was when Leeds fans ripped out and threw seats after the Lorimer volley was ruled out in the Paris final.

It was at a time when there was trouble at almost every game but that one caught the headlines.

My brother-in-law, a Leeds fan was there that night and disgusted with the fans behaviour. He was also surprised by how many cockney accents there were among them as well.

Reminds me of getting off the train at Reading after we beat Leeds at Wembley. Had my Rovers shirt on. A Phil Daniels lookalike with Leeds shirt on clocked me from the other end of the concourse and shouted, "Cat 'at caaarrrnnnt. Ee's 'avin' a larrfff."

Imagine being blighted with the twin ailments of being a Cockney w**ker AND a Leeds fan.

Well as a football fan I thought Liverpool were brilliant last night from minute 1, their supporters & especially those there experienced a truly brilliant achievement against one of THE best sides in the world, no matter what happens in the final. As BST touched on it's all about making memories in games. For me, that counts for everything & cannot be taken away, regardless of them winning the final or not.

It's games like that that keep you going through the bad times.
Passing into club folklore and bringing a smile back over a pint.; never to be forgotten, only exaggerated and embroidered.
Plus the thousands that never went suddenly recalling being there some years later.

How often do you see the amount of players in tears after they’ve won a game it meant so much for the Liverpool players think that about sums it up
There were less tears when they lost the Final last year

A controversial view on Billy's post raises a point I read elsewhere last night but looking at it from a totally different point of view regarding memory's.

.A Coventry fan raged that whilst it's great for Liverpool fans to crow on about the memory of last night it was THEY and their fans behaviour who were responsible for English clubs being banned from Europe..During that time Wimbledon,Coventry and Wednesday would have being playing  European football some for the only chance they will ever get.Everton had one of the best sides in the late 80's that was dismantled as players left due to not playing in Europe..Were was the memory's for us...

Interesting point of view...

It's spot on, that club has a horrible past. It's trophies will always be tainted.
For me, it's personal and deep seated.

Great European night at Anfield last night? Yes.

Great Europen nights for the above mentioned teams plus Norwich (League Cup Winners 85) Oxford (League Cup Winners 86)  Luton (League Cup Winners 88) Forest (League Cup Winners 89) West Ham (3rd in the first division 85-86)? No. Due to the Scousers actions at Heysel, these teams never got to see their players up against European opposition.

Up the Spurs/Ajax

More Manure fans on here than I thought, especially seeing as they aren’t doing so well now.
