Don't worry Ferguson spotted McLean and Mackail-Smith..... Oh no wait they were already at Peterboro when he got there!

Is this going to be on everytime he's scored? The Scottish championship is about on par with league 2. He should be banging them in up there. He didn't do it with us, so was moved on. This is almost as boring as the SOD updates.

Not really Forrester was our most talented player bar Copps and needed a manager to nurture his potential and instead Fergie looked at a player out of form and out of confidence and shipped him out! The man has no idea at all!

Maybe he just didn't want to be here and made it clear that he wouldn't put the effort in training or playing?

It doesn't matter what level the Scottish Championship is equivalent to. The fact of the matter is he would & could be doing that on a regular (ish) basis for us. And you know it !!!
But  I agree with you about SOD  :)

You can put your view across as clever and convincing as you like, but the point is that he was the best player at the club and wasn't even in the first team.

Sometimes players have to move on for personal reasons and has nothing to do with their football ability.

This is true. We'll probably never know why he left. But the fact that Wellens & Jones both went around the same time makes me think this was Fergie trying to show who's in charge. And look where it's got us !?!?

That's fair enough SM, but then you have to ask why a player with more than adequate football ability has to move on because personal reasons couldn't be resolved.

Jones went because he wasn't fit and hadn't trained. There was never any sign that he would ever get fit enough to play.

Wellens went because he wanted to. He was disruptive in the changing room and had fallen out with his teammates.

Not a chance of HF doing it regularly for us, show pony! No heart when it got tough.

It isn't the fact that they left, its more to do that they weren't replaced by anyone of the same quality, not by a long way.

Oh I don't know. Last few matches I've seen, it's been just like having half a dozen Harry Forresters and Richie Wellenses on the pitch.

Wellens was our best player earlier on in the season

... bags again. He should be doing it for us keeping us up. Unforgivable that DF didn't try to get the best out of him. Rangers will end up selling him for upwards of a million.

Only Celtic in Scotland COULD pay a Million and they probably would not sign an "enemy" Player even if they could afford it

IMO he had ample opportunity to show US he could play and failed (mostly) .... and the standard up there is now on a par with Div 1 so how many Div 1 Teams pay a Million for anybody ? I ask that in all seriousness as I really don't know

I do know that next Season Rangers will play Ross County who will have Gary Woods (Rovers reject) Martin Woods (Rovers injured almost always reject) and Paul Quinn (Rovers reject - but would get in Team now) .... so HF will have found his true level

Without employing his brain cells and using the whole of the talent "god gave him" he will have found his level and will stay at that level .... till Annan Athletic come calling

Harry had plenty of chances to prove himself. He showed it in flashes but he was injured for a long time and pretty inconsistent. A shame but such is the game.

No sign that he would ever get fit enough to play? He played (very well) within a week or two of leaving us.

Oh FFS!
He's playing in a Mickey Mouse league - have you ever suffered even five minutes of Scottish Championship so-called football?
If some mug wants to splash out a million quid for that gutless one-trick pony, good luck to 'em - we're well rid!

... and the BBC have the gall to show the Fixtures on their Website as :

(our) Premier League
(our) Championship
Scottish Prem
(our) Div One
(our) Div Two

... thus inferring that the Scottish Prem is somehow more "important" than our Div One which we have recorded above IS NOT ... and that somehow we care anything about the SPL which most of us dont

Top 3 scorers in the SPL (league above what Forrester is playing in):

Leigh Griffiths (Celtic) - played 3 seasons in championship with wolves before being sent out on loan to hibs
Kane Hemmings (Dundee) - only played 1 season in English football (last season for Barnsley, who got relegated)
Adam Rooney - no english club has ever paid money for him. scored 4 in 24 for oldham. averaged 4 a season whilst in english football (has played all 3 levels of FL)

This demonstrates the standard of strikers at the top of Scottish football, which should also highlight the standards in the leagues below.

Good player but bit one-dimensional. Also no evidence of consistency with us so you wouldn't want to risk a million on a player who may or not be good enough for English Championship and even if so they may or may not be bothered to turn it on every now and again.

Might come good. Might not. Up to him really.

I was a bit surprised that Ferguson didn't give Forrester a run in the side when he came in. However it suggests to me that either talks about him moving on had already been held, or that he didn't show enough in training to get selected. Or a bit of both!
