It may come from the type of media you watch and read as those ideas/excuses will be circulating in them I would think.

What absolutely amazes me is that people actually think he and the bunch of idiots he surrounds himself with are doing a good job!!!

Anyone think Liar Johnson added to his tally today during PMQs ?

Unsure and cant be a***d to look back or at Hansard. He was giving a reply to Kier Starmer (not what he had askd of course) when he started bigging up the T&T App and said "and already Mr Speaker 19 Million people have downloaded the App"

I thought that sounded a lot and later on Sky News I think iy was they were discussing the App in general and slipped in " 14 Million people have downloaded the App" etc

So maybe a 5 million difference or I misheard Johnson ? He or I may have made a simple mistake or Sky are out themselves

My understanding was that Johnson wasn't making an announcement on that. He was talking about work training. And in the Q&A afterwards, a journalist asked him whether people were allowed to meet in pub beer gardens in Newcastle. Absolutely ridiculous.

Sums up the media at the moment particularly political media who seem to think their job is to catch someone out.

I don't want politicians to know every rule or statistic going, I want them to review data and advise, set a policy and let the appropriate methods publicise that.

But, I think the politicians are actually partly to blame. I listened to the press conference tonight and the PM was spouting statistics.  He doesn't need to do that.  Who cares how many billion pieces of ppe have been procured? 1. It adds nothing other than to say look the NHS is doing it's job.  2. If you're one out it opens up to the press and your activist types over the top twisting it.

I do think at times we have too much information at our hands and it somewhat blunts the real stories.

Take coronavirus deaths.  People are looked at as morbid statistics, a case, a death isn't a person but a stat and people look forward to the stats to suit their political persuasion.  That's really quite sad.

Who was he frantically looking at to his left whilst he continued to splutter and mumble. Why should he not know the procedures. Is he not actually in charge of this set of clowns?

I think we all know the answer to your last question.

''One in three 'red wall' families £1,000 a year worse off under Tory plans
Universal credit benefit rate cut would disproportionately affect areas PM pledged to ‘level up’''

who'd have thought this would happen? surely with the projected saving from Brexit there'll be more than enough money for everyone.

People shoud apply their common sense to the advice.

She's useless isn't she. I suspect people will be bringing up this specific car crash interview every time her name is mentioned for years.

Cummings kills off another one who crossed him.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2020/10/03/chairman-election-watchdog-forced/amp/

The Electoral Commission successfully prosecuted Vote Leave over the Brexit campaign. Cummings gets his revenge.

It's happening folks. Right in front if your eyes.

Word of the day is ‘quockerwodger’ (19th century): a wooden puppet whose limbs jerk at the whim of the puppet master and, by extension, a politician whose strings of action are pulled by somebody else.

So.

Jennifer Arcuri now admits that she had an affair with Johnson while he was London Mayor.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/oct/16/jennifer-arcuri-admits-to-boris-johnson-affair

And it's well established that around the same time, her company won contracts from the London Mayor's office and she went in expenses paid overseas business trips with him. (To the astonishment of other businesspeople on the trips because she appeared to have no particular role to play in the negotiations.)

But when the police investigated possible corruption on the part of Johnson earlier this year, they found no evidence.

Bit of a pattern emerging here, isn't there? Johnson pays public money to his mistress and has taxpayers pay so he can slip her one when away on business. But the authorities investigate and find nothing wrong. Cummings build two houses without planning permission and never pays a penny of the 50 grand he owes in Council Tax. But the authorities investigate and find nothing wrong.

Absolute Banana Republic stuff, this is.

I'm not surprised at any of that because when she came over and did those Interviews in which she wanted to tell all she actually told nothing much to the chagrin of those trying to get anything out of her

She was shifty and evasive and I thought then - the rumours are true - just confirm them please and we will be shut of Liar Johnson (as he was then and now and she would have proved it)

I wonder if he's been spinning a story to Carrie?

He was still with his second wife when he was f**king Arcuri. He left her for Symonds a few years later, just after she'd been diagnosed with cancer.

Nice man, isn't he?

I wonder if he's been spinning a story to Carrie?

When a man marries his mistress it creates a vacancy.

I have read several scurrilous rumours that the big row he had with Carrie was over his recent violin lessons...
